Shore Park

This small neighborhood park is located right off pocket road. It sits in between to apartment complexes and doesn't really have anything to offer other than a paved path to the levee path along the River. I often use this park as my access and exit to the levee on my walks with Lucie.

Shore Park is located in the Pocket/Greenhaven community of South Sacramento. It is 2.5 acres in size and is part of the City of Sacramento Parks & Recreation District.As your walking through the long and narrow park, you can't help notice all the beautiful mature trees with stunning fall colors. There are two walking paths on either side of the park. Both will leads you directly to the Sacramento River where you would also have access to the Sacramento River Bike Trail.Parking is almost non existence at this park, making access available mainly for local residence. Even-though Shore Park lacks amenities for children, I still would give it high ratings because of its location in the Pocket area, and being so well maintained. Most importantly the park gives local residences easy access to the Sacramento River Bike Trail. Lovely park for morning/evening walks, or to just throw down a blanket and watch beautiful sunsets along the Sacramento River.

I just want to give the the maintenance guy that lives on site a shout out for going above and beyond and being selfless ..when ever Anyone ever needs anything he isJohnny on the spot..
