We dropped in for dinner earlier this month, tasty food and friendly, attentive service. Nice portions and sashimi was sliced really thick this time! YAY! :0)Thank you so much! We look forward to eating here again soon! Keep up the great work!

Excited to try this new limited menu sushi combo bowls. You can choose from tuna or salmon set my coworkers ordered salmon and I wanted to try the tuna. The staff were very nice and gave us all the condiments we needed fromPonzu sauce to spicy mayo and siracha. Although everything tasted well my co worker noticed a hair in my tuna nigiri thankfully it was the last one I didn't eat but was the first on my nigiri which looked amazing so I saved it for last in this case. Saving the best for last was the best thing I could do not for flavor wise but because she saved me from eating the one that had hair. They did comp my meal for me but because I couldn't see it I could've missed it. The staff did go above and beyond but respectfully I wished there was never hair on my food only because I felt sick thinking about how many more hairs was on my food. Inspection of the food should be done or hairnets when food is being prepared should be priority in this establishment or any food places. Feeling indifferent!!!! 2 stars due to it but 5 stars toThe staff!!!

YUM!! I was craving ramen and this place satisfied that craving. I ordered the sake bomb along with tonkatsu ramen while my cousin ordered their bulgogi gyu-don. Everything was yummy and all the food arrived quickly too! Very casual dining along with quick service.

Poor quality fish and sushi rice. Their sushi hi rice tasted like regular rice and the fish was very bland.

My family and I tried ShoMi on a Saturday afternoon. We were in the mood for sushi and found a few choices on Yelp to try. While the reviews were mixed, we decided on ShoMi since it's been around for 20 years and located at the convenient Lincoln Shopping Center (which has plenty of available parking).Upon entering the restaurant, we stood at the front counter and watched several people go back and forth (putting orders to go, answering phones, and whatnot) but it took several minutes before anyone stopped to greet us. They informed us that we can order at that front counter or via phone app if we wanted to seat ourselves. We thought that was off-putting for a sit-down restaurant yet we didn't turn back. We found ourselves a seat and proceeded to go through their menu via our cell phones. The item that I wanted to order online kept prompting me to answer questions that didn't apply to the item (tempura). After trying several times, I gave up and ended up getting up to place our order at the front counter. By the time we sat back down, a waitress finally came by to bring us water. I showed her how messed up their online page was and she apologized but didn't seem interested in informing anyone at the restaurant to fix the problem. The sad thing about our experience is that waitress was the best thing about our visit. She was friendly and checked up on us throughout our meal. Besides the tempura, we also ordered udon noodles and fried squid. All of which were fairly flavorless. And, the thick coating on the tempura and squid made the dishes taste extra greasy.

I've been to Shomi before. Its been around for at 20 years. It's located in the famous Lincoln Shopping Center around several little shops and restaurants. It's your quick order first and seat yourself type of place where they bring out the food once ready. They have pictures on the wall to help you decide what you want and they have an extensive Japanese menu that includes Ramen, sushi and your Japanese plates. For myself and two teenagers I ordered three rolls, a teriyaki chicken bowl, and Ramen. I think our eyes were bigger than our bellies. The teriyaki chicken bowl was so good today! It had the veggies and mushrooms with the perfect teriyaki glaze. It was a good amount of food. I ordered the Ramen and it was so good, down to the last drop! My kids said the sushi was ok. The rice was a bit different. My kids are more opinionated when it comes to sushi because they have a little sushi spot where we live, that they compare it to. The service was good, from taking the order to bring out our meal. I will definitely come back for the Ramen and teriyaki!

Unfortunately between the Sushi and service, our experience was just not that great. The sushi rice tasted stale, the overall flavor and texture was not good. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed and didn't care to speak to us at all if we needed anything. I don't see myself coming back.

A Stockton must! Definitely a staple to try in the Central Valley. It's been there since the 80's | belive and honestly it's the best in town. It is quite small but during the week is probably the best time to go since it's not too crowded. All of their rolls are delicious and made with the freshest ingredients. The owner is usually walking around and he's such a kind person. This last time I went they messed up my order and I told the server and she said she would ask so the owner came and said he would get me a new one free of charge and to keep the current roll which was nice. Mama Mia roll is my fav and the teriyaki chicken bowl. Their drinks are also good although it's a small variety. They have weekly specials that change constantly but I would call beforehand to check. Bring your family and friends to their new favorite sushi spot!

+ Tons of parking in the plazaYou order at the front and they bring your food out. Tons of tables inside to sit. You choose your own table. Service was ok. You have to ask for every single little thing like plates, forks, water, wasabi, etc.The rolls all came out pretty quick. Rolls were all decent. Nothing too special or crazy. They forgot our rice plates and we were almost all done eating by the time we asked for the chicken one. We had to ask them to box it up and even then they were hesitant.

College town eats. Decent Japanese sushi but nothing exciting. I can see why my child and her college friends love this place. Service was interesting. You walk in and it looks like a place where they seat you and order but it's not. You order at the counter then you look for an open table. My family and I sat down after we ordered. We waited a while then someone walked up to us to see if we've been helped. Yes we have. Then a few minutes later she asked for our receipt because they didn't know what our order was. Weird system. Food arrived promptly after they figured out our order. Agedashi Tofu - goodSalmon Skin hand roll - It was wrapped loosely. Salmon skin was super crunchy. Not sure if they make it there or if it's packaged salmon skin. It was okay. Hamachi appetizer - this wasn't on the menu. I ordered Sashimi Choice and asked for all hamachi. Sashimi was sliced thinner than what I'm used to. Decent. Seafood Bento Box - not the most exciting bento. The piece of saba was small. The shrimp tempura was mediocre. Overall, my son could've eaten 2 of these. Tonkatsu Bento Box - okay. Tonkatsu Donburi - looked okay. My college child loved it. (I forgot to take a picture.)
