Shocking Rides Electric Bikes

What great service!Jon is the guy to see if you want to get an electric bike. Not only is he very competitively priced he's very knowledgeable when it comes to electric bikes. He goes out of his way to make sure that his clients are happy in their getting exactly what they want out of their bicycles. He definitely has the patience of a saint and put up with me asking a bunch of questions but I'm sure we're rather mundane but he showed no signs of frustrations with me. I felt completely relaxed and completely satisfied with my purchase after dealing with him. I cannot say enough good things about him and his company. If you're truly shopping for an electric bike you need to go see him!

I bought Prodeco X2 bike 2months ago from Jon at Shocking rides. I did some research on line and price comps. I must say that Jon not only gave me a competitive deal on a great bike, but also helped me sort through several options and steered me the right direction. In addition he gave me a deal on accessories which would have cost me at least $40 more on line and dropped them of at my home!Now I have a great electric bicycle which takes me uphill without me breaking a sweat! I am very happy with it . Thank you Jon!

I just purchased a 2013 Prodeco Stride 500. I could not be happier with the customer service I received as well as the quality of the bike. The bike was totally tuned up and tweaked to meet my personal specifications. When I took it home, the bike had been thoroughly tested and I left confident of its reliability to get me up hills. The price was competitive and Jon added a bike computer and front and rear blinking safety lights for no additional cost.I did my research online before visiting the shop for a test ride, however, I learned many additional tips from Jon and Casey (located in the same shop). I highly recommend This shop and these bicycle guys for any bicycle needs you may have (electric or not). They are both extremely skilled and knowledgeable.

Updated; It was an unfair review based on my assumptions regarding staff and ownership. For me, the bottom line is that the attention I received post-visit and review has been superb! BUT, no one should have to stand around in any retail business WITHOUT BEING GREETED. My new Prodecotech e-bike (phantom x2 v3) is amazing and you should check out this location for the sale and service of your ebike!*my bike was not bought at this store but I'd have it serviced here.

Jon is a great seller. I was having a hard time deciding which of two bikes to order, and he went ahead and ordered both so I could try both. I ended up buying the bike that, initially, I thought I wanted less. So the chance to try both made a big difference for me. Jon's price was good, too. I live in San Francisco, and Jon made arrangements to deliver the bike to me. It took longer to arrange a mutually convenient time than I would have liked, but we kept trying, and eventually we made it happen. The whole experience left me feeling very good about Shocking Rides and its owner. I would highly recommend this seller to anyone seeking an electric bike.

Have not been to the shop but I spoke to John over the phone needing help with a battery problem and he was unbelievably helpful. If this is any indication of their level of customer service then this is a top notch business!

They are still online and available by email phone appointment. They fixed my dead ebike battery. Great communication and service.

When I was driving in El Dorado Hills last night a dark blue Tesla was driving dangerously and getting extremely close to other cars and I saw a huge Shocking Rides sticker on their bumper. It was scary and I don't understand why someone would drive like that when they're representing their company.

If you live in the Sacramento area and are looking to purchase an e-bike go to Jon's shop in El Dorado hills he has a good variety of e-bikes and will be able to answer all your questions and will help you choose the right bike, and on top of that he is a real nice guy.Doug H.
