We had a one night stay on our way through. They were very accommodating. The lady running the front desk was very helpful and kind. We stayed in the lower sites which were just water and electricity. Electricity hook up was on the other side but we could reach. Sites are all grass in the lower section and they do run their sprinklers but never noticed our trailer being wet from them. You park up above because they don't want their grass getting ruined by you coming and going. Made sense to us. Lots of bugs in the late afternoon/evening. Bring your bug spray if you plan to be outside. Everything seemed very clean and nicely kept. She told us the bathrooms had just been remodeled but we did not use them. Would definitely recommend if needing a safe clean spot near Sacramento tourist locations.

Stayed here at Sherwood marina and rv park for about 3 week's. Was only going to be one but the staff Angel,Mario, shannon and owner Jim where just amazing and extremely friendly. This was my first time camping in a trailer (just got it the day i rolled in here) and Angel was a big help not fully knowing all the stuff i needed and and other things i should know. Next time i do a staycation i will for sure be coming here. I also met many great new friend's here. Love this place.

Sherwood Harbor Marina and RV Park is a HORRIBLE place to vacation or live. It is on a pretty spot along the Sacramento River. HOWEVER! It's infrastructure is sub-par. It is dirty and poorly kept. The electrical system is outdated and may harm your RV. There are not full hook-ups so you will need to dump your tanks in one of two designated areas which are often not easily accessible. The driveways down to the park are unsafe. One of which should be closed due to poor condition and is in dire need of repair. The parking area is a cluster of vehicles with an inadequate number of stalls. One is not allowed to park a vehicle next to their RV spot. This park is very OVERPRICED especially considering the ragged condition. The other huge problem is the person named "Jim" who refers to himself as the owner. He is a misogynist. The statements he made towards me during my stay were offensive and lacked respect towards women. He is clearly threatened by confident and independent women (based on several conversations). He is a micromanager and treats his staff poorly (who are mostly women). The women in the office are very kind and make attempts to be accommodating. I enjoyed meeting them and hope they will find better jobs in the future. They deserve better treatment in the workplace. Avoid this place. It's a dump. Do not waste your time and money.

The highlight of this RV park is the lovely view of the Sacramento River. We have water and electricity but no sewer hookup. But it's a very peaceful setting with a nice breeze blowing in over the water. These photos were taken at the back of our fifth wheel.

Clean RV park with water and electric hook up but no sewer hookups. The lower lot (where we parked for a night) is grassy and well kept. They do have the sprinklers on regularly to maintain the grass but those are manually turned on by staff and adjusted to avoid wetting your RV or vehicle. However, because of the constant watering the ground can be soft which can cause jacks and tires to sink in. The store is on the upper lot, it also serves as the office. There are two public bathrooms available across from the office. One is always open, the second requires a key. You can borrow a key to the bathroom for $15. Once key is returned, you get a full refund. I am told the locked bathroom is usually cleaner. Both bathrooms have a shower, toilet and sink. No soap provided but they are stocked with paper towels for hand washing. Adapters are also available on loan for $40. Full refund upon return. The marina was lovely and we liked being right on the river. The staff were helpful and friendly. My only complaint is the park needs directional signs at the entrance from the main road. If traveling with RV, make sure you turn at the sign that points to the marina. It is very challenging to get in and out or maneuver a large/long RV. Route is a loop and down a steep hill with sharp turn. If you enter through the wrong way, it's difficult to turn around. You pretty much have to back out.

Where to start with that pain in the ass owner. Anyone who has dealt with him knows. It's such ashame because I like the location. That place has potential and the poor people that work for that beast are nice. The manager can flash on you every now and then but who can blame him. He works under that terrible man. The place itself is good though.

Heat time, beautiful place. They work hard to keep things clean and neat. They have some dog restrictions that don't make everyone happy. Overall great experience .

Don't waste your time. They don't allow "aggressive breed" dogs (including a dog that is a mutt) and require approval for any slightly older RV. Very silly in this day and age to have breed restrictions. Any dog can bite, regardless of its breed. It is the dog's individual history, behavior, general size, number of dogs involved, and the vulnerability of the person bitten that determines the likelihood of biting and whether a dog will cause a serious bite injury. Breed bans do not address the social issue of irresponsible pet ownership and only go to discriminate against dogs based on appearance. I know more people bit by irresponsible owners of small dogs like chihuahuas than anything but that isn't the chihuahuas fault.

I pulled onto the Sherwood Marina Dock in the morning to pickup some family for a cruise down the river. A nice lady employee saw me come in and asked what I was doing. I told her picking up some friends and we would be leaving in 10 minutes or so. I noticed the there was a restaurant there and though we may see what they had to offer. About 5 minutes later a man claiming to be the owner "Jim" is staring at me through the cabin window. I came out and politely asked him what I could do for him. He aggressively stated "Get off my dock, you're trespassing!". I explained to him what I was dong and that I had discussed this with the lady employee. He stated "No you didn't, I just asked her and she knows nothing about your boat". So now he's calling me a liar! I said, "Let's go ask her" and he got really obnoxious and said "Don't need to. Now get off my dock!". I don't know what school of business he went to but I have NEVER been treated so bad for no reason. Avoid this place at all costs!
