Wife, Son, and Dog on the beach
Son and Gf Carmen
Again
Sad what people will do to chase ducks out of the tall grass, so they can't shoot them. No I'm not some animal activist, I am anti fire tho
The fire even worse, huge flames!
Everybody loves swim!
View from the boat launch
Dog friendly!
The perfect place for wind-aquatic lovers!
A little beach... Dog friendly and while you don't disturb your neighbor, almost everything is permitted...
The perfect place for kite-surf, kayaking, windsurf, and all aquatic sports!
A great place for families including the furry member =)
Construction on the Rio Vista bridge that goes over the Sacramento River!
My view is a row of cars backed up!

Honestly I'd love to lie and give it 1 star. This is a hidden gem of a place. In the summer you have to get there early if you want a spot on the weekend. Great spot to swim, hike, fish, and camp. The reason for only 4 stars is the guy Bob I think his name was needs a lil help keeping the area clean. Really people that visit should do a better job cleaning up after themselves, he needs help enforcing it. We've been going here for 12 years now, and will continue to go until we leave California. Even when on fire, still a cool place to be.....see photos.

Super busy, lots of litter, bathrooms are nasty. People are nuts and don't respect kids or your space. NOT going back.

Not my first time here but first few check-ins. I been fishing here since I was in my early teens. Growing up my family was a fishermen's. So we would go around the Bay Area catching fish. This place happens to be our common spot to fish at since it's where the Sacramento River meets the delta, which wants great fishing action. During the summer months the levee is packed with folks from fishermen's to families enjoying the nice weather. There's boaters, jet skis and windsurfing done here. It's quotes drive for me but I love to come and spend the day here. Just you and the open waters. Oops I forgot to mention there is a campground to. $5 parking fee and you're set to watch a beautiful sunset.

WWWWINNNNDDYYY!!! One of my favorite places to RV or Car Camp (no tents) and kiteboard! Staff here are very friendly and helpful and they keep the restrooms serviced with supplies. $5 for a day pass! On weekends come before noon or they run out of parking!

We come to this park at least a few times each week for fun in the sun with our doggies. The park is at the end of a very long, and bumpy, road so don't fret if you are driving for a few minutes wondering if you are going the right way ... When you arrive, you will come to a station for which you are to pay $5 for using the park/parking. This fee is on the honor system. Sherman Island is great for wind surfing, kayaking, and dog romps. Parking is abundant. NOTES: On the really windy days, the beach access will be clogged with wind surfers and their gear. Also, while there are a couple outhouses, there is NO WATER at this park. When we come we bring a few gallons of water to drink and for rinsing off sand.

Loved the beach, my dog had a blast exploring and my husband got some good drone footage. There was a lot of trash- mostly bottles in the sand but sadly that is to be expected at a public park. It seems like it would be a nice place to camp, mellow vibe
