Awesome little park in Carmichael neighborhood. They should put in a bathroom. I also think this park would make a great small disc golf course like Santa Anita by Howe park? Just a thought

Beautiful, well-maintained park where my 3-year-old could spend hours, but we only stay about an hour...because there is no bathroom. Hence the 4/5 stars.

Great place for my 2.5 year old to play. I didn't have to worry about him getting hurt. Super accessible for his age/size

This is a gem of a park located in the neighborhood just outside of William Pond park. It has 2 playgrounds (one for younger toddlers and one for the older kids) - both are pretty small as expected for a neighborhood park. There is a sandbox along with "construction" cranes for the kids. There is a large field that is perfect for flying a kite or throwing a football/baseball. There are 2 freshly paved (I think paved 2 years ago) tennis courts that are often unused. No windscreens or rollers. No lights. There is a tree near one of the courts that provides shade early in the mornings or evenings. There are drinking fountains but no restrooms.Great neighborhood park and I am lucky to have tennis courts within minutes of my house.

Beautiful, well-maintained neighborhood park. On a gorgeous day, we took the little ones to burn some energy. Our 2 y.o. loved the different playground equipment; there's a truck, helicopter, lots of jungle gyms, a huge sand box, swings, even a "gas station". Cleverly constructed but still leaves lots of room for open, imaginative play. For parents, there are plenty of park benches to rest weary legs and picnic tables for lunch al fresco. I even noticed horseshoe pits. Unfortunately, I did not notice a restroom, so that's why I'm dinging a star. Hopefully, I'm wrong about that!

Shelfield park has always been somewhere fun to go. It's a nice park with 2 fun play structures for kids, tennis courts, and a huge field to run, play sports with friends, place where kids can play games like tag, and a place for your dog to play. I only gave it 4 stars because it could use bathrooms but overall it's a great park.
