Awesome walk along the green belt. The park for kids to play on is very hard to find. It's located in the middle of Royal garden ave, Lakeshore cir, Royal green ave, and Starlit cir. If you go down any of those streets you can see the park. Hope this helps!

One of the best kept secrets in Sacramento! I love this park! Do you enjoy cycling or running? This park stretches approximately 2 miles with two walking Bridges that go over two major streets! Great little Hill climbs for cyclist and runners alike! Shaded pathways and mostly smooth cement! There are also several playgrounds and soccer fields along the path! Watch which way you turn, there's multiple paths that take you different places! I'll be back!

Seymour park is of my favorite parks located in Greenhaven!Seymour Park connects to the Pocket Canal Parkway and Sacramento River Parkways It's about a 2.2 (give or take) walk/bike to the Sacramento River where you can ride into downtown or Old Sac (seven to eight miles). If you walk south of the park, you will run along the canal where you can feed the ducks and turtles. Walking/riding/jogging through the park you come across two elementary schools, the School of Engineering and Sciences and Wenzel Elementary School and you can see the kids practicing for baseball or soccer. It's a beautiful park with lots of trees and friendly people walking their dogs. Seymour park is ALWAYS clean. It's a safe park for kids and children to run around. If you see me check-in to this park and you happen also here, stop and say HI!

I didn't even know there was a name for this park. One end of the park connects to the pocket canal and from there you can walk to Portuguese park too! This park is located near/behind JFK highschool and by a elementary school. I use to walk through with park to get home afterschool. Easy park to walk through, because no streets to cross since there's a bridge that connects to the other side :) Plus lots of trees, so it's very shady :D I only been to the playground at the park once since it's at the further end, but I'm always walking/biking at the other end near the canal/bridge and it's very nice :)

Occasionally, I'll bring my kids to the playground which is conveniently behind their school. We'll randomly end up here for either a short time after school or on weekends to enjoy lunch. So glad they added more tanbark and sand to the playground and that there is a little of everything kids love here. I also like that the trees provide shade over the playground area during summers so the kids don't burn themselves on the structure. Surrounding the playground are some benches, a BBQ grill, plenty of green grass, shade and a water fountain. Some mornings I will park on the street near S.A.C Prep to drop my kids off and then I'll take my baby for stroll along the trails. Only downside to the park (and the reason I didn't give it a 5star rating) would be no public restrooms near the playground. If your planning on staying awhile just make sure to go before leaving your house. Need a breath of fresh air? Take your furry friend for a walk? Or a field to let your kids run loose? This park should definitely be a contender!

Grab a book, a blanket, and some snacks and go relax at Seymour Park under the (Cyprus?) trees. Seriously, every person in this park greeted us. Tons of dogs, tons of awesome people, great times!!

I love this park. You can walk for at least an hour and not have to cross one street. There are pedestrian bridges that connect this park to others, with plenty of space to run, walk, play ball... the list goes on. There are great kids playgrounds, too, with plenty of shade during the summer. This greenbelt can get you from the levee to the canal, without side-stepping one car.

It's a great place for a nice long walk or biking with enough shade. The overpasses made it much more safe to cross the street. Great place for picnics also. Nice green grass and clean, but you can see some owner don't clean after their pet but it's not as bad on the pavement concrete.

Not a park so much as a parkway/greenbelt, Seymour Park is awesome. I'm so glad the city valued park space enough to give us such a huge stretch of it, and so glad that I get to live near it. Since you can use pedestrian bridges instead of crossing streets, it's a lovely and pleasant place to go for long walks, jogs, dog-walks, and rollerblading sessions. We especially enjoyed how pretty the playground in the middle of it was when tons of colorful leaves were falling and all over the ground for the dog to kick around in.Important note: Unfortunately, the entire stretch is riddled with gopher holes (as of 12/2015). I've never seen so many critter holes in my life! I don't think the city should spend a bunch of money dealing with it, necessarily, BUT visitors need to be aware of the situation. If you're running around with your dog, be careful so that neither of you breaks an ankle.
