I used to come here a lot when I was a kid so when I came here to do some mini golfing for fun with my husband, it was so cool to see how much has since. They have a fun are for young children to play like a jungle gym. You can reserve rooms for birthday parties too! I didn't get the chance to look inside, but it seems to have enough space to fit a bunch of children inside. They offer mini golf, go kart racing, laser tag, boat bumpers and a decent size area for video games. I like that there are two different route options (A/B) at the mini golf so that way you aren't just waiting a long time for the person ahead of you to finish that course. I didn't get the chance to do the other options, but it seemed fun when I was watching other families and their children play. I will say this place is a must go to if you have a family and want a good family outing day.

There aren't really any extraordinary places in Fairfield to host kids' birthday parties, but Scandia is a decent one, especially for its party rooms and variety of activities. We celebrated an 11-year old's birthday party on a Saturday afternoon in winter, and it wasn't too busy. The Laser Room was selected because that side is less crowded, and it's right across from the bathrooms for the kids. There are different tiered party packages, with the 3-hour Unlimited Package probably offering the best value so long as you limit your party to 10 kids. (It's $51 per additional child). There was a lower tier party package at $30 per child, but based on a point system where each kid gets only about 130 points. (Go-Karts alone is about 75 points) Maybe a better budget option if you have a large party or shorter time frame. It was $515.00 (online deposit of $100) for the unlimited, 3 hour, 10 kid package which came with two free pizzas (order the combos). Extra $18 (cheese) / $20 (pepperoni) add-on pizzas. This unlimited package excluded the ticket games, virtual games, and batting cages. But everything else was fair game. The go-karts, laser tag, and boat bumpers were the most fun for the kids. Mini golf was included too, but we didn't get to it.Tip: If you're doing the unlimited package, your 3 hours begins as soon as you first scan your cards, so do the party room & eating BEFORE you begin your 3 hours of play! From the laser tag area, on the opposite side of Scandia, is the Clubhouse, an indoor play area for younger children, only $8 for your child to tire herself out lol. It is fairly large with seating for parents, although a bit stuffy inside. There are also party rooms on the Clubhouse side, which might be a better option for ages 3-8. Those rooms are also way more festive!

I would probably give this place a 3 star for how outdated everything is but you can't beat the price for the kids soft play area. It's only $8 and half off on Tuesdays I believe. If it was a little updated it would be awesome but it's been here for so long that it makes the place look a little dirty and tacky if you have never been here. I do see the workers constantly cleaning everything which is a plus. This place is great for days that parents need a little break and for kids to get energy out. There are benches for adults and a play area for the younger kids.

Service always seems friendly and happy to be there. Fun for every age even the adults. Go karts seem like a decent time on the track. Haven't tried the mini golf. Clubhouse is great for kids 2-10. Great place for a kids party. Arcades have a lot of variety.

We got the unlimited play for the better deal since it included all the games, laser tag, golf, and go karts. My kids had so much fun playing and was happy to see that they put new games in the arcade. Some don't work with the deal though. My only real issue is that the A/C doesn't cool in the main arcade side but it's freezing by the little kids playground park which is all the way on the right (you need to pay separately for that area). We come here once in a while so I know how it's improved and I'm happy I don't live to far so we can come back with ease.

Such a fun place. We enjoyed an 18 hole round of mini golf on a beautiful sunny winter day right between rain storms. The course was soggy, but we still had a great time. Checking in and paying was a breeze. We went outside to choose our ball colors and retrieve our clubs. Hubs, the boy and I took turns either knocking a hole in two, blocking run-away balls or some other thing that would make any hard core enthusiast cringe! Lots of cheering, clapping and laughing. There are two courses but only one was available to us at the time. There is so much to do here. I'd strongly suggest purchasing one of their on-line promotional packages to save some money and time. Every arcade attraction takes a card, that you can purchase and load at the cashier window, but I think the on-line option is what I would do next time. There are go-carts and hubs mentioned bating cages. You could easily spend a day and your life's savings. Budget is a good buzzword. Inside the arcade is naturally loud and the machines are brightly lit with some flashing lights or other attention getters. Our boy has epilepsy, is on medication and did fine since we were there to guide him and we limited our amount of time inside. Another ADA note; there are stairs outside on the golf course. Few ramps. Stairs of more than 2 steps did have hand rails. But these courses will present a challenge to someone in a wheelchair or other assistive device. Come prepared for a day of challenging fun. A great place for family and friends.

Stopped by Scandia on a weekday afternoon for some mini golf. We got on the course immediately, which was serviceable though clearly old and worn. The turf was soggy and worn, the holes and obstacles were a bit dilapidated, and there were bugs and spiderwebs everywhere. We stopped multiple times to let several groups of kids go ahead of us to avoid them continuously hitting their golf balls when we hadn't finished the hole yet. After golf, we walked around the arcade a bit and watched the bumper boats. Not bad for some casual fun for the price but not the most well-kept facility.

A family oriented Fun Center for all ages. It has a relatively sprawling complex of buildings to house varied kinds of games for the young and old. They specialized in birthday parties for kids with various options depending on the features included. Typically the package includes the use of a reserved room for the party plus drinks and pizza. Additional food items can be purchased. One has to bring the birthday cake if one so wishes. Other food items are not allowed unless you paid a $50 fee. The package also includes a 3 hour playtime card for used in a well furnished arcade. In addition to the arcade games, they have a miniature golf course, a base ball batting area, a laser tag room, and a bumper boat lake. Overall kids and adults all enjoy the arcade games very much. It is moderately priced and every one is happy. It's something different to consider if you don't want to go through the hassle of hosting a party at home. By the way the pizza is definitely subpar!

Games are priced fairly, much less expensive than Dave and Busters, and the food is actually really good. It's been around since the late 80s so there's age showing if you look for it, but all the games work, and there's alot of fun to be had.
