Our camp site came with 2 fire pits and a bench table. Good amount of shade not packed like most places in the area (woodward, camanche)
Swimming area is small but ok, if you have a jet ski this is the place to be!
My kids enjoy the camp site
View of reservoir from above. At least 8000 elevation

I would love to recommend this place because it's been a family go-to for years! But it's in a state of badly needed repair, especially the boat ramp. I wish I felt confident that it will be fixed but I just don't see it.

The couple who runs the camp grounds were fantastic. They really made the trip a memorable experience. We booked 2 nights but only stayed 1 due to heavy rain. Still even with the rain and leaving a day early we had a great time. This was our first time camping and I believe that the crew made it fun. We plan on returning the first week of spring!

Our Saturday was dedicated just to find this particular spot in view as high as we could go in order to view the reservoir from up above. We experienced so many temperatures while up there LOL we had some slush, rain, and wind. But of course they did not stop us from taking all of this in. We were the only two up there and it felt awesome. Okay oils love to upload a video of this adventure as well

We camped there this weekend for the first time, its a great hidden gem, friendly staff, its a quiet place that we enjoyed very much. A bit of a rough road down rock creek rd but not too bad. Great fishing and jetskiing place. Will come back again my kids loved it!

What a joke the new property manager is!!! If I could give this place a -10 I would. First off the man " Property Manager " or the man leasing the place, is so rude, so I stop by one day wanting to fish, it's 3 pm and the man wants to charge me $15 with the day use and there was only 2 to 3 hours of sunlight left. I asked of there was anyway of getting a half day rate. No he said $15!!! I then asked how much was camping a night. If and he said it was $25 . He is great rude and I don't see how this guy is going to make it being so rude!!!!

This place is not worth the drive. The last ten minutes of the drive is on a one lane dirt road. When we got there the man that greeted us was very rude. The cost is $30 per night, per tent. Which is a huge ripoff especially for how plain it is. We paid for two night but only ended up staying one night because of the mans attitude.

Friendly greeting from older gentleman on golf cart. We wanted to tour the campgrounds and he let us go and look on our own. None of the campgrounds are "on the water", none have a "water view". The "spots" on water are overflow when jet ski races are happening. Restrooms are a porta potty. All seem to have a small rock fire ring and a picnic table. Lotsa shade but not 100%. The campsites are a good walk or drive to shore and boat dock access. This is a fantastic place to come to jet ski. They have a course set up but not sure if you can freely use it or need approval. Many jet ski tournaments are held here. Judge announcement stand is covered. Few trees for shade in day use area. Reservoir is pretty big. Restrooms (actual ones) are nearby for day use. It's a dusty place, prepare to feel dirty right away.

We were there for the long weekend holidays with the very hot temperature, owners were nice but the drive was very bumpy going to a dessert with a reservoir. It looked very unattractive from outside with a lot of junk and old items laying in the front of the site. First day, of the long weekend, the restrooms were filthy. Garbage over filled. I have been to many campgrounds but first day of the camping and restrooms smelled is a bad start, electricity and water were running from the generator . The reservoir was decent but again not much maintenance work. The boat dock had nails sticking out which a mom almost tripped getting on boat. First time camping that we got flea bites instead of mosquitoes bites after the trip that we left early, we had to drive out 20 minutes to get ice since they didn't sell ice . Adorable thing is families in site didn't know they own a cow and we saw the cow chewing stuff and wrecking another site. Although we tried to enjoy the best if it. It ll be a reminisce camp trip,

So happy we found this place! The manager is very nice, and although they consider it a "work in progress", we think the place is just fine as-is. New contact number 209-785-5267. Our search is over, we finally found a place with close access to the water in the Copperopolis / Angels Camp area. We really enjoyed fishing and swimming here with our young children, and the easily accessible shoreline is a dream come true! We landed about a dozen fish within 4 hours, without a boat. The day use rate is very reasonable. The shaded picnic tables are a huge plus, especially 90+ degrees. We'll be back!
