Sakura Hibachi Restaurant & Catering

We walked in on a Sunday, it was our first time there. We were greeted by a very friendly young lady with a very nice smile, and we're seated right away. She took our drinks and offered appetizers. She was very informative and helped us make our selection of sushi. We planned to order one of their hibachi dinners and a noodle and we were so happy with our choice. Our hibachi chef was very nice, very fun and put on a great show, he asked us if we were locals, and if we were celebrating any special events and although it was just dinner for us, he still offered funny jokes throughout the preparation of our meal.First, we received our sushi and it was very delicious. Tasted very fresh. I wish I would've taken a picture of everything we ordered, but I forgot my phone at home. Both of our dinners were very flavorful. Chicken was juicy, steak was very tender, scallops were just right, and our shrimp was cooked perfectly. Our hibachi chef regularly asked us if everything tasted OK he checked in on us even when he was walking by to perform his next show at the table beside us.Overall, it was a very pleasantly unexpected perfect dinner, especially because we were very undecided on what to have. The restaurant was very clean. Everyone was very friendly. We will definitely be returning.

Great addition to the Miracle Mile cuisine! @sakurahibachi_catering provides in spades!! Great culinary skills displayed by our chef de jour cooking up our flavorful fresh vegetables, our proteins including shrimp, steak filet, scallops, and salmon. Upgraded the fried rice and added garlic and bacon. Miso soup and grilled garlic edamame began our excellent culinary hibachi experience!! Sakè bombed twice, the waitress even joined me for that second one! That goodie goodie customer service, food, and overall experience! We came here on a whim; however, I recommend a reservation. We did have about a ten minute wait but again we didn't have a reservation so our bad. We were taken care of very quickly once seated. Our server had six of us (3 separate couples) all within a minute of each other. She was very friendly, attentive and cleared plates quickly which as most that know me is a HUGE deal. The food was good - granted all my chicken was tempura so fried and fried. I did have grilled vegetables and rice. The vegetables still had the perfect balance of grilled and crunch. :) My boyfriend had the lobster roll which he said was very good. The restaurant is decorated well and has 3 hibachi style tables that seat 8. Again, reservations recommend. So why not 5 stars? Well. There was some sort of late seating issue at another table close to closing time. Our chef was obviously the person in charge because he was interrupted twice during our 'entertainment' by a complaining server complaining the another server sat the table. All of this was caught on my original videos. A complaining server of another table at our table complaining of another server in front of guests during our meal - that seems as though it could be handled better. I do believe in second chances. I hope this was an isolated incident. So, I'll be back in Stockton in a few weeks. I plan to come back in hopes of a 5 star rating!

Loved the friendly service. They did not rush us out after lunch. It's a spot that me and the entire immediate family could go to. The garlic fried rice hit the spot and their steak and shrimp were flavorful. I tried my Sister's teriyaki chicken and that is good too. The veggies were cooked to perfection.

The ambiance was really good, it's pretty small however it was just enough room. The service was great. The waitress was attentive, the chef was very engaging and entertaining. The drinks could be better. The food made up for it. I will be back.

Wow! So good! I ordered sake nigiri and the deep sea roll and was super satisfied. I regret not getting a hibachi meal but will definitely get one next time. The service was amazing and the restaurant itself had a very chill vibe.

Lunch was excellent our chef Yoshi is a TeppanyakiMaster his showman ship was perfect and his flavors are so delicious I have been to many Teppanyaki Restaurants and Sakura is Top Tier My dining companions said this is a new go to for good Japanese food

I hired Sakura for my mother's 65th birthday at our house. We had 30 guests. The price was so fair for everything they do. The food was AMAZING. The chef was funny, they came in- set everything up- did an amazing demonstration, cleaned up. I have nothing but amazing things to say about my experience. My mom said it was the best birthday she's had and our guests absolutely loved it! I can't wait to find another reason to hire this company!

Entertainment while eating great food! Our cook was fun and engaging. The food was delicious! I will definitely be going again

Hands down the best hibachi place around here! The flavors were on point, huge portions, and the chef had tricks I've never seen. The servers were attentive and friendly. The prices are more affordable than other places, as well. We had the fried California roll as an appetizer and it was light and satisfying. I had the salad and my wife had the miso soup. Both were perfect. My wife had the garlic shrimp and I had the Ichiban combo with garlic shrimp and teriyaki chicken and they were delicious! People are sleeping on this place because of other options in town... I will recommend Sakura to everyone I know and will definitely be back!
