Saint Mary's College Museum of Art

Small, free art museum on Saint Mary's College's campus. The museum took me less than an hour to go through and this is coming from someone who reads everything on the walls. When I visited, they had an African exhibit, displaying African art and a short movie. Parking was free when I visited on a Sunday. I'm not sure if that's usually the case with this school.Would recommend stopping by if you're in the area, but wouldnt go out of my way just to see the museum.

If you are in the area -it's a small museum. They do change up the exhibits. Free. Beautiful area.

Popped in before the Men's Basketball Game to see the current darker shades of Red exhibit which is about the Soviet propaganda during the Cold War. Fascinating.I love museums. Great being back in Campus again. This is a hidden gem.

Great art exhibits+easy parking+NO CROWDS+wonderful staff! The current William Keith paintings are a "must"! Take your out-of-town visitors, take your kids, go with a friend or by yourself! What a great gem of a museum right here in Lamorinda! +It's FREE!! You will happily donate after experiencing this museum.

I wish it were larger! Beautifully curated. They normally have 2 shows per year, September and January. Definitely worth a visit. It's small but has some really interesting pieces, with a lot of different media and styles. The little gift shop is adorable and affordable. I will return. Highly recommend.
