I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the owner Misha and her Husband - their "why" - and to the entire safe splash staff. The patience, and care Misha and the staff showed with our son during difficult moments, was exemplary and as a parent of a child with special needs I cannot recommend nicer humans to entrust my family with, in the way we experienced the safe splash staff doing so gracefully first hand. Awareness, Acceptance, Inclusion. They are a true testament in advocating for families like ours and giving all humans a chance to experience the "good stuff" too and in a safe and giving environment of friendly staff/specialists who just "understand".

Don't go here. They cancel classes without notice. You don't get consistent swim instructors, so your child won't learn very well, and it's very expensive at $27 per 30-minute session which includes a total of 4 kids (which means that your kid is doing nothing for about half the session).I signed my kid up for swim lessons. They canceled 3 weekly lessons in 4 weeks. Two times, they did not notify me the instructor wasn't showing up until AFTER the class was supposed to begin. Another time, they sent an email 30 minutes prior to the start of class AFTER I was already in my car driving to the class. This is unacceptable. The first couple times, they did not provide an excuse, but the most recent instance, they claimed the instructor was sick. I'm unsure if their instructors are so irresponsible that they routinely no-call, no-show for work or if their management is so poor at communication that they fail to notify their customers when a class will be canceled.I spoke to other parents at the classes, and they agreed that 1) this is very expensive, and 2) there's a lack of consistency in instructors, so their kids were not progressing. And, of course, when all is said and done, they're refusing to give me my money back for these canceled classes. They just tell me to reschedule my kid for another class at a different time; however, this does not work for me. The other times are in the middle of the day in the middle of the week, and I have a job to work.

We initially had a instructor who was great with my son. He left and then it seems he ended up with a new instructor each class. Classes were canceled last minute multiple times. A makeup pass is given but if the other days/times don't work with your schedule, you end up paying for classes that you can't attend. I didn't see any improvement in my son's swimming in over 6 months. With the group classes, there is a lot of waiting around and not much swimming.Edited to include: I don't understand why with all of the scheduling challenges, canceled classes, and instructor turnaround, the price increased almost $30 a month more without any notice?

Not great for the cost of the lessons. The class sizes are small but the children learn almost nothing about swimming. If you want your child who has never been near water before to experience getting into a pool then this might be the right choice for you. Otherwise, do not recommend. My child learned nothing but how to get into a pool and be held by a teacher, expected more from a swim class age group that went up to 8 years old.

This swim school is a mess. They canceled my sons class basically all of July with little or no notice at all (teacher on vacation, no teacher at all, poop in the pool, etc.) and didn't give us all the make up tokens for these days (can't really use make up tokens anyway when they are only, maybe, open two days a week). Then we were on the waitlist for the next level. I have the app and signed up for the next level there. The confirmation that we were on the waitlist said right on it that we would get another email when there was space in the class for us. However, they just started charging us for it a couple weeks later without even telling us that a space had opened up in the class (no email or call or even a notification in the app). They charged us for it for a whole month before we realized. Nobody had told us! They're not responding to my calls and emails and so far they have not refunded our money. In addition to that, the classes aren't even very good. The teachers are OK and seem to care about the kids, but the students spend most of the 30 minute class waiting for their turn to swim for 10 seconds. Classes at the Sacramento city pools are so much better and my son learned so much more. I don't recommend SafeSplash and we won't be coming back.
