I've stated here twice now. SacWest is amazing, their team at the front desk is great. Facilities are clean, amenities work great, and zero issues with anything. Place is safe, extremely close to a Starbucks and an awesome Mexican restaurant across the street that's open late. Highly recommend booking in advance and they are courteous enough to leave you an envelope with your info if you arrive late.

So relaxing and peaceful. My family and I enjoyed our weekend with Sac West RV Park. Every day, the little one says I want to go camping again. We will try to make it an annual event

Rented a "couples" cabin (1 room, 1 bed) overnight as an alternative to a hotel room for our regular trips to the area for work. The cabin was clean and well maintained, but it backed up to the new Maverick truck stop so we listened to engines idling and air brakes all night long. The truck stop is new, and should install a sound barrier wall to preserve the campground peace! Blackout curtains would be a good upgrade, too. If you rent a cabin, be sure to request something other than #s 1, 2, or 3. And tent and RV sites away from the truck stop. Dog-friendly, including in the cabins and cottages. This was a KOA many years ago but the standards are definitely not as high now. The un-homed population in West Sac is out of control, so keep your doors locked!

Excellent for camping with family and small children (except for duck pawn). Clean cabins, clean bathrooms, activities for the children, pool, petal carts, and a ride on train. This location is great to stop as a traveler or to camp for a weekend. Dog friendly! Beautiful hidden gem in West Sacramento! Near all food restaurants, grocery store, Home Depot, and all major highways. The staff are friendly (majority) and ride on carts to remove all trash bags during the day and assist if needed with electric issues. The only thing I didn't like is the lack of communication between staff! When we arrived staff knew of a power issue and didn't relay it to the morning shift. So when approached by staff the following morning for using an extension cord for power she was rude and had an ugly attitude. She called up front to get clarification which she should have been advised before her rounds. There is one "KAREN"on staff but she is balanced by other open-minded staff so it's okay I guess

We needed a place to stay and park our Sprinter Van for 2 nights and had randomly found this place. At first glance during the day, It was quiet and clean, although, not really a place you'd wanna stay and hang out at. It didn't really have that vibe. They situated us near a large busy gas station that is only separated by a metal divider. In the evening, it was a bit scary because It wasn't very well lit. We have a four year old child with us and there are a lot of transients in the area. The first night, I got up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and noticed the restroom door was slightly open. (These doors are normally locked and you need a code to open it, but you need to physically make sure it's locked otherwise it stays open and anyone can get in).Upon entering the restroom, it reeked of cigarettes. There was a cigarette butt on the shower floor, the soap dispenser was busted open, there was random equipment in the sink, and dirty clothing on the toilet and on the floor. It looked as if a transient had used the restroom. It was a bit creepy making my way to the next available restroom because it was so dark and I was afraid of what I would find when I opened the door. The whole restroom area is not well lit at night.During the day, the restroom was normally very clean and well kept, but I think during the night, it's easy for transients to make their way to those restrooms to clean up. They have a play area for kiddos, a large grassy area for dogs, a tiny petting "zoo", and small swimming pool. The place was OK, however, we probably won't stay here again. For anyone staying there, just be extra aware in the evening, especially when going to the shower/restroom. Also, watch your kids closely and keep them nearby.

I wondered a little bit as there were some negative reviews but this place was great . it is right next to the river, easy to get to, and the young couple who does the day to day management were incredibly nice. the young woman recommended an RV repair place that was A plus. They were very helpful. Fresh eggs for sale too!

It's a great place to stay. Staff and long-term guests are friendly, attentive, and warm. We felt welcome and attended to from the moment we got here. Came for a music festival, and nothing really makes you enjoy your music experience than KNOWING you have a nice, clean, and friendly place to stay. We tent camped by the water. Thank you SO much to the staff of SacWest RV. When we need a place to be, this is where we will come to! Love, site 114
