This location has been plagued with bad luck for the last few years- When it was the Oasis, I loved it...there was a short stint for JRs BBQ- the food was good but not great for everyday fair. I think that for the location, this place definitely now has staying power.I stopped in last week to see what they had. It is hard to find good salads in our area, so I decided to go with a California Walnut salad (half orders available!). Very fresh greens...good dressing. I also ordered a half cup of chicken tortilla soup- I fell in love with the soup...was not very chunky (my daughter pointed out) but it was very flavorful and perfect for lunch when you have to get back to work and be worth something.I noticed that they had Greek Spaghetti for the special of the week...it looked and smelled AMAZING- for $7, a HUGE plate...but there was no way I could even think about going there. I actually have to get back to my desk and not sleep :)Today I managed to get the whole office to order. Wouldn't you know they delivered it? I got again, the walnut salad and a cup of today's soup: TOMATO BISQUE...my eyes rolled in the back of my head when I tasted it! The guys who ordered the fried chicken sandwich special said it was VERY good...those who ordered burgers found them lacking- I signed up for the weekly special to be emailed to me....so now I get a good idea of what they can do...mostly American fair: burgers, sandwiches, etc...and weekly specials. The employees seem youthful and happy to be there- management is very nice, as well. I'm very, very excited to have them in the 'hood!

One thing about outer Sacramento is it can be difficult to find restaurants open for lunch. Unless, you are going to SacTown Cafe. SacTown is open for breakfast and lunch. I went with my girlfriend, I ordered the BLT she ordered the Roasted Veggie Wrap We both chose Kettle chips and fruit with it.The BLT was "bonus" with turkey, avocado and cream cheese in addition to lettuce, bacon and tomato on a generous french roll. This was extremely delicious and the turkey had some terrific seasoning. The Roasted Veggie Wrap came with onion, eggplant, zucchini, peppers, polenta & goat cheese. At first I was thinking the goat cheese might be weird on the wrap, but it turned out to be brilliant. The textured tortilla that was served with all of this was delicious. This was a fantastic wrap, and I really enjoyed it. The side of fruit and Kettle chips hit the spot. I recommend this if you come here. I was tempted by the menu and took extra time deciding what to order. Everything sounded so amazing. I will have to make a trip back here to try some other sandwiches/wraps.

The food is AWESOME. We were planning a small wedding and wanted to keep costs down. We found some caterers said they couldn't cater for the price per person or the menu they offered wasn't much above cheese and crackers. We wanted appetizers and desserts.Brianna created an amazing menu for us. She was great to work with - responsive to our needs. The food was a HUGE hit at the wedding. The assortment was creative and everything tasted wonderful. We'd recommend her as a caterer - it was a great experience. Be sure to have her leave business cards at the event - people will be asking who catered for you.
