By far the most comfortable range I've ever shot at. The range master was incredibly polite, professional, and knowledgeable. The range day was very relaxing and pleasant all while very safe. This is what our communities need more of. I can't think of a better place for the public here in the overbearingly oppressive state of California, to come and exercise our 2nd amendment right. I drove about an hour for its 1000 yard rifle range, well worth it!

Came to this range for an Intro to IDPA class. WOW. Just WOW. I have never been to such a HUGE range! First and foremost the topic was SAFETY. The range is extremely nice and organized. We were at berms where we were taught the ins and outs of IDPA. Folks at other areas were shooting rifles and set up stages. There weren't bathrooms immediately close by but they did say there were some a 5min walk away. Our area had port-o-lets. We lucked out and the weather held for us that day - their competition the next day was unfortunately rained out/cancelled. Hopefully will be coming back to shoot some competitions! What a great range and a fantastic place!

My two girlfriends and I spent Sunday afternoon at this wonderful outdoor shooting range. From beginning to end, the experience was a solid 5 stars considering COVID19 restrictions were being enforced. To be honest, I thought it would be light in attendance on a Sunday because folks go to church or reserve that day of the week as family day -- but nope, this place was busy and filled with all sorts of people. I even saw young children with their parents (maybe in the 8-10 year old range?) -- have to start em' young! Anyway, when you arrive to the facility -- keep driving to the end until you get to a T intersection, hang a left and check in at the first building on your right. Can't really miss it because there are a lot of cars and there's a big giant sign that says "Enter Here" :)When you get to the counter, you'll be asked to sign two waivers. Please read through them before signing. As of July 26, 2020, it's $18 to shoot all day and each person receives a paper target of your choice. If you want additional targets, there's an extra fee. They also have eye and ear protection if you forgot yours at home. Also, I want to note that the staff who work here are fantastic. I called several times before taking the trip out, and every person I spoke to was courteous and uberly professional. The same holds true while interacting with the team in person. After you pay, read, and sign -- you can proceed to the range. There is a rifle side and a pistol side, and the range master will direct you.Lots of shade and a cool breeze even when it hit the high 80s or low 90s. Bring snacks or a picnic lunch to make a day out of it. There are benches and chairs, and I even saw an area where people were BBQing with their own grill. Bring your own ammo and firearm as this place does not carry neither for purchase or to rent. Lanes are first come, first served. Can't wait to return!

Outstanding Center! It is designed for the Beginner to Professional shooter. It's also a Family oriented place, as well. The .22 plinking area is fun for the whole family. Yes, if you live in the greater Sacramento area it's a bit of a drive but it's a very pleasant drive. That should never been a consideration when writing a review. Again, just my take on it. Excellent service by excellent staff. Range masters are "on it". It's a relief knowing that they truly pay attention to every single shooter. It's nice that you can shoot rimfire, pistol, rifle and shotgun all in one location and OUTDOORS! Excellent range.

Rule #1: No firearms are allowed in the shop. Rule #2: Never approach the firing bench during a cease fire.Rule #3: Clean up your brass. This is The Range...The one you can take your family/friends, even those with zero experience and still have a great time. Like everyone else in the US, with the pandemic and all the political turmoil, I decided to purchase my first handgun, and another handgun, and finally an AR-15 because 2A!Although I greatly appreciate my indoor range and it will be my go-to for target shooting, something about being outdoors just makes it seem natural. There is plenty of space for everyone to sit back and enjoy the show.

My group decided to bring out all of weapons in locked their cases to the rifle side just to make transportation easier. The range officer yelled at us that pistols can't be fired at the rifle range. I know this to be false since I've seen scoped revolvers be shot from there. We weren't going to shoot pistols from the rifle side. We just had them there locked and secured. Turns out that the range master was a volunteer and doesn't know all of the rules himself. He was totally disrespectful and likes to escalate things unnecessarily. My group and I will never return here. We've never felt disrespected and demotivated to shoot.

It was honestly a wonderful range. Fantastic place to get my little sister back on the scopes after so many years. Bill, if you're reading this, you have my genuine thank you for such a fine experience; however, if it wasn't for you, our visit would have been the worst experience we've had at a shooting range. I'll admit my family forgot the bench rules during the ceasefire, but we understood once we were respectfully reminded by the actual staff working there. Unfortunately, there was one staff member(who I later found out was just a mere volunteer) that blew a fuse when we did accidentally step over that line. It was honestly disgusting to see such a miserably hateful snap of fury from that older man screaming like a brute to my little sister. I can't even imagine how it'd sound without earplugs.Along with the natural anger I'd feel seeing someone try to scold my father and sister, I was genuinely astonished how Sac Valley Shooting would be alright with having a staff member be so aggressive with customers ON A SHOOTING RANGE. Safety is the utmost priority and is why I do admit our fault in remembering the first time, but I fail to see how keeping a seething bark dog of anger around could help keep the enviroment calm and professional. I've never left a yelp review like this but after that man's behavior, I felt like there was no choice other than to warn others who want to shoot here and be a clear message for the rest of the wonderful staff that are actually needed there. The craziest thing is that he was a volunteer. One who's apparently had multiple talks about his bitter behavior towards customers. I can't imagine being so miserable and empty to just willingly volunteer to yell at people on the weekends. By his character though, it explains how he truly has nothing better to do with himself. Maybe it's a power/authority complex? Ironic. Rudeness is just a weak man's imitation of strength. Sacramento Valley SC, I'm sorry I had to send this. But I'm even more sorry about that pathetic alarm grunt. That kind of anger isn't good for his health and your business. I wish nothing ill against that fool though. Being him everyday already must be torture enough

Came here early morning in the summer. Wasn't too busy probably because it was about 100F at 11AM. It's covered and shaded the area for shooting rifles is very nice. They have everything you need, sandbags, mounts, catchers all of this is free to use. Make sure to put it back where you found it. Staple guns along the fence to put your targets on the wood frames. Would recommend and will be returning.
