Rio Vista Bait & Tackle

This used to be a really nice store to buy bait in. It's now run down and the outside looks abandoned. The old man who works mornings is rude and lazy. They can't keep beer in stock and everything is filthy. Very unsanitary place. I've even seen cockroaches in the store a few times when I came in the morning.

Went in there last year with my husband they had everything you need for fishing great place

I went in for mudsuckers. Left with swim baits, mudsuckers, blood worms, and pileworms. Guy was informative, very helpful, and knowledgeable. I will go back again.

Great selection of bait & tackle. Staff was super helpful on helping me choose some live ghost shrimp & he even gave me some good tips!

Great Service, first time stopping in. The man was friendly and helpful. Selection is great, many varieties of live and frozen baits. Also an abundance of tackle. They also have a selection of snacks. The prices are very comparable to other Bait Shops I have been too. Thanks

if I could give zero stars I would. I came here to prepare for an upcoming trip, and, my God, the place is filthy! I saw roaches crawling around and even rat feces near some of the product. On top of the already horrendous and health hazardous condition of the establishment, I heard the owner yelling obscenities at an employee who needed to take off to care for a terminally ill family member. No care, or respect for his employees OR his own store. Will never ever come back. horrifying experience to say the least!

There is a dirty, old man who works there on Saturday mornings. He sexually harassed me quite a few times, as well as I few other females I know. I told him to stop but he laughed in my face and continued to cross boundaries with me. Needless to say, I felt extremely uncomfortable and I won't be going back ever again.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BAIT STORE!!My Father and Uncle absolutely love fishing and this bait store was a favorite of theirs if they're fishing in and around Rio Vista. They usually spend $100 or more every time they go there. But unfortunately it is now owned by different people who apparently have no idea what customer service and appreciation is. Yesterday they stopped to get bait as usual but the man working there was so extremely rude to them that they will never go back. They've always been allowed to use the restroom there because they have spent a lot of money there and the other owners were decent human beings. But when they asked this man he was so far past rude that it was abusive. He said no but then he ran in the back and brought back a hospital urnal bottle that said customer toilet on it. Are you kidding me? Who does that? Then the little troll locked them out of the store but made sure to stand there flipping them off and talking shit. My Uncle is sick with an infection in his stomach and both my father and my uncle are very active senior citizens. It's not like they were making trouble or being rude to this man. Apparently having respect for your elders is not one of the new owners mission statement. Which is dumb as hell for this crappy bait store cause most of their customers are senior citizens. I'm thinking it will have new owners again in no time if this is how paying customers are treated. This little troll of a man who picks fights from behind a locked door is nothing but a coward but karma's a bitch and he will get his I'm sure. To the new owners- might want to be a little more picky in who you hire because this man just lost you two customers that have money to burn. That's just stupid.

We've been in here 3 times and have seen 2 different workers. They were both rude and made us feel unwelcomed.
