We love coming here. Never had a bad experience and the Sushi is delicious. We often get the specialty rolls. Dragon, 49ers, Spider are among our favorites, unanimous & Tuna are so good as well. The fish is so fresh. Great selection of Sake as well. The staff is super friendly & prices are reasonable. Give them a try.

This place is great ! It's technically a free place to go and practice bow shooting but they highly appreciate a tip ! They have one side that's closer range targets 20yards 30yard , 45 yards , 50 yards , 70 yards and even 80 yards. There is also a walking course which I haven't done yet and was closed last time I was there. The Bowmen club itself is awesome I took a class here with my mom and aunt and we learned the basics of now shooting on a recurve bow ! Highly recommend this hidden spot , don't leave valuables in sight in your car. I have heard of people getting their cars broken into here.

This place it very nice, relaxing and fun for archers. Please donate the $5 at the clubhouse so we, the community can continue enjoying it for years to come. The shorter ranges can get crowded at times so plan accordingly. Fellow archers are generally helpful and friendly. The trail course is great practice shooting at range and elevation.

Really fun range, the practice range is good for sighting in out to 60 yards, there's also a 80 yard target that's slight uphill, so you can get some idea on ranging for later walking the trail. :)The trail features a lot more longer range targets compare to KMA, and the terrain makes it all that much more fun.Overall a really good range, although the parking area seems to have a lot of break in, so make sure you don't leave anything valuable in car.

I'll just say it, I haven't shot a bow and arrow since Girl Scouts, however many years ago that was. Trying my hand, literally, at archery again was exciting! It's a bit of a windy drive since you're going up into the hills. You'll pass cyclists, hikers, walkers but also get an amazing view of the city and water across the bay! Park in the garage by the Chabot Space & Science Center, and go to the lowest level to park near the entrance to the bowmen club. The fresh air, sun, and falling leaves were a perfect relaxing backdrop to the thwacking of bows and arrows hitting, or missing, their targets. Make sure you holler out "Clear!" once you see everyone's shot their arrows (courtesy number is about 6) so everyone can go gather them safely. Then yell is again once everyone's back behind the line so it's OK to shoot again.Biggest thing I focused on was my stance (T shape and feet shoulder width apart) and finding my anchor, pulling back on the bow far as I could for power. I was just proud I didn't drop any arrows or the bow! Definitely a great workout for your arms! It's basically an obstacle course so you could move from target to target up into the woods. I'm still learning and next time I'll practice my aim before running off into the woods like Katniss. So worth the drive and a perfect getaway!

Just got into archery recently. I've been to a few places, but this one is my current favorite. The range is free. There is a large course that affords for some nice hiking. There is a suggested donation to play on the course. There are member only events, so be sure to check out their website first. It seems that if there is a Member only event, then the range should still be open. The course is beautiful. I love the Oakland hills. the biking, and the hiking. And this has the same great feel, and same great weather. In the summer, it will never get too hot here. There is a lot of tree cover. Shots have different angles, up, down, through trees, etc. There are some 100 yard targets and some at 11 yards, and everythign in between. There is something for everyone, compound guys, recurve, long bow, kids, etc!

This place is the best. Been shooting archery for a few months and I love this place. The people here are super friendly, eager to help. The club members are super nice and will offer to let you try their bows and stop by the clubhouse. They have 3 different courses (think golf course but only through different terrain and instead of putting a golf ball into a hole, you put an arrow through paper animal targets): one in the front hill and one on the back. The back course is more fun: it goes through the trees like a nice hike. Although there are supposed to be 3 course, I've actually never found the 3rd course... haha. Best part: it's free! But it's so nice that I contribute when I'm there. They have a small donation "box" (it's more like a little pole by the clubhouse). Even a few bucks is fine - it's still cheaper than paying $10-15 at an indoor range just to shoot at the same target at the same range over and over and over and over...

love the practice range area and the field archery area. we've been here three times now and it's always been fun.the only problem is they have a VERY VERY DISGUSTING PUKE INDUCING porta potties. the one behind the main cabin is always awful, they just pour the blue liquid to reduce the nasty smell but its already halfway full and i feel like it's never been cleaned since the beginning of the year. the second one by the cabin on the field is full of cob webs and is FAR FAAAR WORSE than the first one. i had to leave the door open for fresh air. i almost just pee in the bushes.we are considering joining this club because we've been going every other weekend and spent at least half the day there but with the kind of bathroom that they have, i asked my husband to look for a different club. I love the shooting experience, the bathroom situation is just DISGUSTING!

MY CAR WAS STOLEN IN BROAD DAYLIGHT. It's a shame the area is unsafe because this archery range is a dream come true for bowhunters :(
