Ramen 101

Hubby and I were at Old Navy in the shopping center and asked the cashier where was a good spot to eat. Didn't know there was a Ramen 101 location nearby this whole time! Yeah it's a chain but their ramen is pretty good and at a reasonable price. Food came out quick, yummy bowl of comforting ramen. Yeah it was hot this day but we didn't care. We wanted ramen! Will get the spicy option next time bc my mild was for a child. Karaage and agadashi tofu were good too. Didnt finish and took food to-go. Seating is limited inside.

I went here with the 81 year old and the 77 year old. She kept referring to it as Top Ramen 101.I wasn't enthusiastic about it--I'm Japanese--until I saw the Unagi Donburi, since I love eel. I was not enthusiastic that they didn't have Ma Po Ramen, as you'd find in Japan.It's between Starbucks and Jamba Juice, which is a good location for something trendy.Ordering at the counter seems reasonable considering their target age group. It wasn't inconvenient. I knew what I wanted but the other two did not, and they'd already been there once.We ordered Tonkatsu Ramen for one and the Chicken/Beef Bento Box for the other. I later ordered the 7 piece gyoza separately because I dislike making my own. My thumbs are still cramped from the last time.For drinks, I got the same KSF Black Tea with Lemon that I order from 99 Ranch Market and they got White Peach sparkling water.The eel arrived first. It didn't look like what I was hoping. The ramen and the bento box arrived and looked good. I felt better when the gyoza arrived.The food was okay. The gyoza was better than the eel but the eel was okay. There is a reason I used to drive 30 miles from home around Philadelphia to a restaurant run by Japanese to get eel.Service was friendly and they checked on us a couple of times. I knew going there that it wasn't going to be what I wanted and I tried to prepare myself. Having friendly workers helped the experience.

We stopped by here on our way to Monterey from Sacramento. There are multiple Ramen 101's in the area. Our was very casual, modern decor with a large Japanese photo on the wall. The cashier was very friendly and even took our group photo. We got various bento boxes and ramen soups and a spam misubi. Everything tasted savory and satisfying. We would love to eat here again.

Their location is very small so you need to take your order out because they're packed all the time! I like their food the beef with chicken . The squid not so much because it's sweet, I prefer it salty.

I always love going there. Ana is sweet as can be. She's always so busy cleaning the windows or wiping down areas where dust could collect when she doesn't have a customer. She's makes you feel welcome. The food is good, but I haven't found a favorite yet. I had the teriachy chicken bento box today. It doesn't have the soup and salad like the usual bento box, which I prefer. Service is great, food is good, the ambiance is prefect to go eat by yourself or with company. It's a small place by Sea's candy and Starbucks. The parking could be a problem if you like parking close to the restaurant.

The bentos are less than $15! Chicken cutlets were surprisingly good. It's very thin and crispy just like what I had in Japan! It was nicely done without overcooking, therefore, it was juicy and not dry at all. Protein portions were huge. The beef teriyaki was also pretty good. Good quality beef, I've been to places where have of the beef was just fat, but not marbled kind of fat like the Wagyus. On the other hand, I was disappointed on the ramen. The kids were chowing the down before I even had a chance to take a picture. The Tonkatsu broth was not as concentrated nor flavorful enough. But the kids enjoyed it and finished the entire bowl. This was a great place for lunch or dinner while we spent some time at the Greta wolf lodge. We definitely try the location near our home to see if they qualify is the same!

This place is very close to the great wolf lodge and came in for lunch before hitting the water park. The restaurant sits in the middle of a plaza next to a Starbucks. We ordered at the counter. We ordered a bento box, some chicken karage, one ramen and a serving of gyoza.Chicken, bento box and gyoza are pretty decent. Meat is very tender. Flavor was good. Service was friendly and prompt. The restaurant itself is maintained alright. Kids didn't like the ramen. Overall, this place is okay.

My wife and I had been wanting to try this spot for a while so we used the new year as an opportunity to do it. The inside is fairly small and may be difficult to get a table but people move in and out rather quickly. The staff was super nice and helpful. Our food was very flavorful. I really enjoyed the chicken karage and my ramen. Really good quality for Manteca. Highly recommend.

Came here yesterday for the first time. I ordered the Black Garlic Ramen with lumpia appetizer. The food was amazing. I loved every bit of it. I got the ramen medium spicy which was probably the perfect amount of spicy. I don't think I would have been able to handle any hotter. The restaurant in itself is pretty small so if you come to dine in you may have to wait for a table to free up. They're located next to the Starbucks so the drive thru line may get in the way of parking close. The parking close to the spot is 20 min parking but no one takes that seriously.

Fantastic food and great portion size. Friendly staff. Perfectly hit the spot after Great Wolf Lodge and just 3 minutes away.It is not a full sit down restaurant, as you order up front by the register. But they prepare everything hot right there after you order and bring it to your table. Was pleasantly surprised how fresh and high quality food was here. And very sweet staff. Would definitely be back next time we are in the area
