My husband and I have been camping at this campsite for two years now with friends. They're dog friendly, the spaces where you camp out at are big enough, and there's a dock for your boat or jet skis. There's no campfire allowed, depending on where your campsite is, there are either actual bathrooms or porta-potties. There is a curfew and there are dumpsters you can put your trash in, but of course make sure you bring your own plastic bags. It's a great way to escape from technology, immerse yourself in nature, and just hang out with your friends and family.

Everything was amazing. Staff was super friendly, helpful and accommodating. Initially booked site 93&94 but after arriving and seeing how small they were ( looked more like a parking spot) I asked if we could move and they said yes. Site 83&84 were way more then we needed but perfect in case we had additional guest. The view from the site was amazing. From morning sunrise to sunset. Onsite security . Staff roaming the areas about once every 2 hours. VERY CLEAN! The store on site was open and had soooo many essential items ( including beer & ice) . We were able to rent a paddle board for the day for $70 ( they also had kayaks, pontoons and other water toys ). Quiet time was 10 and by 10:35 they made sure it was implemented which made bedtime so much easier.

Whelp. That's a wrap. Pretty views. Folks at adjacent camp sites are nice. But the campers just down the lane are blaring Spanish language music with accordion. Lots of laughing and ruckus. It's almost midnight and quiet hour started at 10pm. No sign of management. This blows

$20 for day use is steep, but I think the cost anywhere on this lake is overpriced. The lake is full now and the cement launch at this location puts you close to Putah and Pope creeks, both are great paddles.

Love this place, every time I go with my family and friends it's a memorable time, with cristal clear water for swimming and nice spots to fishing, definitely recommend this place.

Stayed a few nights at Putah Canyon Campground located on the north west side of Lake Berryessa. Reservations were made fairly easily over the phone. I requested an area where I wouldn't be surrounded by people since I would be going to sleep and getting up very early. Quiet time is supposed to 10pm and if you don't abide by the rules you would be removed from the campground...or something to that effect. Unfortunately, there were campers around me and they were very loud until the early morning hours. So much for quiet time. Sure, this could be understood given it was a weekend. The porta potty situation started out well but during times of Covid, you'd think they would be serviced regularly. By Sunday, very disgusting. My experience was just okay.

No grass at all, only totally rocky dirt to build your tent in. When they say their is water access it's true if you don't mind climbing down very very old unsafe stairs. There is dog poop along the entire beach and scattered about the campgrounds. My family and I were trying to sit and talk and the evening and my son said mom what is that smell, well it was dog poop very strong poop. There is running water at the campgrounds and portapottys. No showers. Very small campsites and in the evening the wind gusts so badly it made for a pretty awful trip so much so after paying for 3 days I left early on day 2. This is not a great family camping site.

If anyone has been to Lake Berryessa, then you know about the winding roads. Not great for those with motion sickness and definitely made me almost throw up on myself -__- . I believe this is the only way to get to Berryessa unless you have a boat. The camping grounds were closed for a while and recently re-opened again for campers. Looks like they're working on improving the amenities. When you book your site, you put your name down on the list and come as early as possible to reserve your spot. Pretty much first come, first serve. The camp ground is right next to the water and there's a huge spot to launch boats. There are no showers here...just 5 porta-potties and a small sink (with soap), where you have to step to pump the water out. The water ran out on our 2nd day and the porta-potties were starting to get hella nasty!! Note: Bring lots of extra water and baby wipes!!!!!!The site is dog-friendly and security guards ride around on ATVs every hour or so. There are no BBQ grills so bring your own and the signs say "no campfires" but everyone did it without getting in trouble. This area is very clean but could use more big trees for shade. We'll definitely come back again. Trick is to do it right before or after summer vacation to avoid crowds!!

Beautiful, but.... Woken up at 7:30 am by high power jet boat launches. This is no place to go for relaxing peaceful camping.

This was a surprisingly gross campsite. Campers were loud and partying late into the night (and early morning), lots of music being played loudly, and REALLY GROSS bathrooms. There are just port-o-potties that weren't cleaned all weekend, DEFINITELY bring your own TP and hand soap (the self-pump hand-wash stations were out of soap and eventually ran out of water). Nice view of the lake, but 100% will not be back.
