This area in Ripon has some good restaurant options. I was pleasantly surprised by how good Primos was in my most recent visit. The customer service is also top tier and I had a great experience because of how friendly the staff are. The ambiance is also comfortable and spacious. Plenty of parking outside as well. The food is also great.What my table ordered:- Quesadilla Sincronizadas w/ Chicken ($16)- Salmon Primos Specialty Plate ($24)You also get complimentary chips and salsa as well as a type of black bean dip. The chips were actually amazing and tasted very fresh. They were warm and crispy. The green salsa was delicious, but also not very spicy. The bean dip sprinkled with a little bit of cheese got cleaned out very quickly. It was a 10/10.The staff was also very attentive and would ask if my table needed refills for chips which was really nice.I personally got the quesadillas with chicken and boy I definitely cannot finish them in one sitting. The value for the amount of food you get is pretty good. The chicken is really tender and moist and the quesadilla was loaded with cheese. They use some really good tortillas. I was a fan.I tried a bite of the salmon and it was moist and flavorful.I was overall really pleased with my experience at Primos and I would be happy to come again. The service to the quality of the food makes this an easy restaurant to recommend especially considering Ripon doesn't have a ton of options.

Wow! Finally found a great date night spot! We came here on a whim because the other Mexican restaurant we wanted to dine at was super busy on a Friday night. There was no wait here but a good amount of people. Service was great. Upon being seated, you are served complimentary house made tortilla chips, salsa and bean dip. We ordered one our favs, molcajete with shrimp. This can easily feed two people. Super good! Their drinks are also great. My husband got a pina colada and a watermelon paloma for me. I would love to try their watermelon margarita when we return.

Went here yesterday for my Sisters bday. Upon walking in I noticed there was a lot of seating. They have an outside area too. There's also a bar area and multiple tvs. They start you off with chips and salsa. They give you a bean too. The salsa was pretty good. It was a green salsa and wasn't spicy at all. The been dip was good. Eventually Tomas came over and took our order. He was a really good server. He was on top of everything. I ended up getting the Pastor Con Pina. It was three tacos with pastor, grilled pineapple and onions and cilantro. Came with rice and black beans. Very delicious. Pastor was nice and seasoned. The onions and pineapple gave it that extra touch. The rice was good but I didn't really care for the beans. It came with a red salsa but I preferred the green one. Very good meal. If ever out this way again I'd go back.

The service was fantastic. The ambiance was great. The music was very familiar to this Gen X visitor. The presentation was spot on. But I did not like the food. I would liken the food to a fusion Mexican restaurant more than an authentic Mexican. The salsa was a very thin verde, more like a sauce then a salsa. The bean dip was ok. I found the $14 margarita quite small and full of ice so very strong but more tequila flavor than blackberry. Perhaps the price was due to the tequila? I don't personally enjoy the flavor of straight liquor and am more inclined to order fruity drinks that only have a touch of alcohol flavor. Perhaps understanding that the salsa is more of a lime verde sauce and the flavors are different one might enjoy this. The ingredients seemed very fresh.

Great ambiance good food family friendly. $$Clean, TVs if you want to watch sports. Friendly waitress food came out right away.

If you are looking for a clean, modern & upscale type Mexican restaurant, Primos is the place. There is plenty of room in the check-in/waiting area. The restaurant itself is very spacious with plenty of seating inside and outdoor patio options. They have a full bar with a couple of TV's if you want to follow your favorite sports teams. The service here is regularly spot on and the quality of the food matches. I try to stick to healthier options, so my go to is the primos bowl, which is very tasty. Primos is definitely one of the best Mexican restaurants in Ripon.

We stopped in while traveling to Northern California and what a nice restaurant ! We had the taco combos, I had meat and my girlfriend the fish. They were excellent! Came with black beans and rice, also very good. They have a range of local beers and lots of tequila. The chips are fresh and crisp. Well done!

Always a wonderful time when we dine in. We will keep coming back. Staff is great and food even better!
