We have stayed at this wonderful, beautiful B&B twice. Trisha, the owner, is lovely, responsive and a joy to talk to. We came up to purchase a couple of kayaks and wanted to be centrally located to the Lodi Lake and downtown. This home is perfectly situated for both.BIG BONUS--- Each room has a bathroom...not all B&B's do and it is a must for me :-). If you need a lot of counter space in the bathroom I would recommend the Downstairs Suite...We were just in town to kayak so I didn't have a lot of stuff but if I needed to use hair tools and good lighting for makeup, I would want to be in the Downstairs Suite. We stayed in the Master Suite and the Black and White Suite. Both rooms are nicely appointed and the beds are SOOOO comfortable. The entire home is clean and cozy,Breakfast was delicious both times and we enjoyed wonderful conversations with the other guests. Check in was very easy and the neighborhood was safe and quite. We had no worries about having our kayaks tied up to our truck overnight. We look forward to coming back!

First time staying at a BNBI came in not knowing what to expect. Tricia our BNB host was very welcoming she really made this a great experience for our first time! Our room was cozy and had a lot of space. She made us breakfast made from scratch and let me tell you she is a chef! Tricia knows how to run her business The whole house was beautiful and spotless! The neighborhood so beautiful and peaceful. Lodi period is such a beautiful town!

Staying at The Poppy Sisters Inn was a wonderful treat for us. The craftsman era home was beautifully decorated, clean and a must; our room had a comfortable bed and the bathroom towels were soft. The owner was so accommodating. Due to Covid regulations she couldn't serve us breakfast, but each night offered us a bottle of local Lodi wine as we sat on the wrap around porch enjoying the calm, quiet neighborhood and the cool, Delta breeze. Downtown Lodi was 5 blocks away with wine tasting, craft beers, shops and dining which we enjoyed each night. The owner lives behind the main house in a cottage, but gave us complete privacy. We truly loved our stay and will stay here again when we come back to explore the Lodi wine scene.

I can't say enough great things about The Poppy Sister Inn! Not only did we enjoy the proximity from the Inn to the downtown area and vineyards, we felt spoiled by the ladies who run the place our entire stay! My partner and I felt extremely welcomed the moment we set foot in the Inn and the rooms and breakfast were amazing! Highly recommend!

I couldn't be happier that this is where my wife and I chose to stay on our first trip to Lodi. At first blush, it may seem as most BnB's... but upon further experience, you will see that this has had the full resto-mod.All of the upgrades and updates are all tastefully done, so as to maintain the spirit and integrity of the history in the home... while allowing for the comforts of today. One thing that I noted was that it didn't make all the noises that the typical BnB's make... all the creeks and squeeks that normally leave me feeling as though the place is going to collapse beneath my feet. Trish, the owner, shared with us some of the history and work that went into bringing this home into its current beauty. Rest assured, that she has thought of most everything. Our stay could not have been more comfortable or enjoyable. Our first night there, we were pretty pooped from the 6 hour drive into town. So, we slept once we got all checked in. Once we woke, Trish gave us some additional welcome with a night-time social, where we all shared a bottle of local wine in the garden while enjoying the fire pit. It was the perfect way to close out the first night in town. The following morning, she made us a fantastic breakfast (as she did each morning we were there.... seriously..... DELICIOUS), It wasn't your run of the mill meats/cheese/fruit/bagel assortment... this was a freshly prepared breakfast. Each day was something new and just as delicious as the day before. She made sure we had all the information we needed to do whatever it was we wanted. She even helped us out with doing a little kayaking in the nearby Lodi Lake. I don't know that there could be a more accommodating and welcoming host.We spent the afternoons wine tasting, of which Trish gave us many recommendations as well as a few passes for free tastings in the area. Each time we returned... it always just felt like coming home; not like it feels when returning to a hotel room. Trish always made sure we had everything we needed, but not overbearing... she was the perfect amount of help while always ensuring we had the space to just enjoy ourselves. My wife and I spent each morning enjoying coffee out on the porch, watching as the town awoke. And we ended each night just as we did the first... out in the garden by the fire pit. The Poppy Sister Inn really does a phenomenal job of making you feel as though you're at home.I couldn't recommend this place enough... if there is anything that brings you into the Lodi area... just do yourself the favor and stay here. It is perfectly located... just a short stroll from the downtown shops and restaurants, just a few minutes drive from the lake, and not much more of a drive to the local wineries (which we had no problem Ubering all weekend).I am incredibly happy with my experience here. If we're ever back in Lodi for any reason, this is where we'll be resting our heads.

Poppy Sister Inn Lodi July 24th / 25th 2019First Impressions are lasting and this one is no exception, QUIET and PEACEFUL! ... a wonderful stay. My wife and I had just completed a Family Reunion in the Sierra Mountains and a ghastly stay at a Comfort Inn in Morgan Hill [see my YELP posting, not always glowing but balanced] before reaching the Poppy Sister Inn in Lodi. Our stay here was the 6th and 7th of 10 days of travel in northern California from our residence in southern California.I have lived in California for most of my life both north and south and Lodi has always been a drive by town in my eyes ... but not anymore. The Poppy Sister Inn has changed all that for me. Traveling north to reach Sacramento for the night will no longer be our first destination stop since our visit in Lodi.First impression was the patriotic theme that patriotic theme that Tricia has captured in this quaint little home on a quiet street. Yes that sounds like Mayberry RFD of years back. And yes it does take you back with Schwinn bikes, dog walkers and park just yards away. During the days we stayed there was "music in the park" on one of the evenings, Wow take me back to Mayberry. Most inviting however was the QUIET peaceful atmosphere from a long drive.Tricia has a story to tell of how the Poppy Sister Inn was named. I listened intently as she told her story reminiscent of that story of old "Johnny Appleseed", hers a modern day version for sure. This of course is a Bed and Breakfast and I would be remiss in not getting in the "breakfast" part of our stay. Not a Continental breakfast touted by many hotels as the answer to your morning travel needs for the road. This was a flavorful variety of food selections to tantalize your pallet. My wife is a vegetarian and I consume whatever is offered. Tricia met both our needs with a selection that fulfilled our pallets. Something about "Eggs on a Cloud" my wife for protein and me for a future chicken. If you're looking for a quiet pleasurable stay then Lodi should not be a "Drive by City" anymore and The Sister Poppy Inn is worth the stop off highway 99 heading north or south.Arrival 7/24 departure 7/26 2019

My manfriend & I stayed at the Poppy Sister Inn over the Christmas 2022 season. Loved it!!! Clean. Spacious. Delicious breakfast. Decorated nicely. So many fun Christmas decorations. Trish and Debbie were fantastic hosts. Each morning they made a delicious breakfast. During our stay, we met six other couples. All nice people. A few of them were repeaters - they had been at Poppy before. We highly recommend this charming B&B. It's close to downtown Lodi and the many wineries. We look forward to coming back in Springtime.

This is a quiet, refreshing, and beautiful retreat nestled in a quaint residential neighborhood in Lodi. The atmosphere, comfort, food, and friendly faces make this a must stay when touring the numerous local wineries. The bed was heavenly!! Breakfast... so delicious!! I truly wish my stay was longer, I will be back!
