This is a wonderful playground! It was packed on Sunday afternoon, but still everyone seemed to be playing and having fun so plenty of room still! They even had food trucks and an ice cream truck with huge ice cream cones! This is a playground for all abilities which is nice! They had hills to slide down and people would bring cardboard or Amazon boxes to slide down! Tip: Next time you go to Costco pick up one or two cardboard flats under the toilet paper or paper towel rolls- those would be perfect to slide on! There are so many different types of play areas and so many things to do for the kids. Places to climb, slide, swing, ride ladybug buggies, etc. There is a duck pond or lake to walk around! A rose or flower garden to visit! Great place to tire out the kids lol! There are bbq grills too and nice shaded umbrellas over picnic tables. This is a great place to hold a birthday party for the younger set to run around! I think most likely you have to reserve a place since it is busy and has numbered picnic areas! This is a great family park for all ages and abilities! One of the better playgrounds I have seen that encompasses a lot!

Wow this playground is HUGE! So many cool features and things to do. I think because of all the cool things, it brings a large crowd. I have anxiety because of how many people were here on the weekend. Recommend that parents are vigilant and keep eyes on their kids at all times. I think the park looks old and has a good amount of wear and tear...but that's also a positive as it shows how much kids love it. I'm not sure I would come back just because of how crowded it gets.

I think this is a biggest kid outdoor playground in Walnut Creek. There are a lot of kids, super crowded, people doing picnic and BBQ. There are two separate parking lots. My daughter played for almost two hours at this playground. Nice weather!

It's a big playground and one of the best in the East Bay and always full of kids of all ages, but towards the end of the day cardboards flood the green hills and plastic pieces from parties end up inside the playground. Sometimes, I move them out of the way so kids don't accidentally trip on them while running around. It could be a different story at the beginning of the day though. Then there's the public bathroom at the swim center across the parking lot. It's always trashed and nasty. I don't get how people can't clean well after themselves, leaving toilet paper everywhere on the floor, and then there's not having soap left. My kids and I love this park, but we tend to come here less and less because of these reasons. I would advise bringing your own soap if you're coming towards the end of the day, just in case...

This is the best playground that we have taken our toddler to! It is spacious and it has activities for all walks of life! And by that I mean, there's a toddler area where play structures are built lower and 5 to older structures with 2-storey high slides! It's amazing! They have a rock climbing section, a few covered seating places for those tired and weary parents or grandparents, at that! Most of the play area a with a foam mat so that's a plus. There's a sand pit with access to a faucet so if you want to go home with a wet baby cover with sand, this is the place for you! A few meters away is a pond where I have seen people fishing and has a walking trail for joggers and walkers alike. There's also a community swimming pool for your mermaids and little flippers. Bathrooms were decent, and has soap and paper goods so that's a plus! Parking can be challenging but for the several times we went there, we were able to find one, relatively quick. We'll soon be back once the rain starts clearing. :)

Amazing. Where were playgrounds like this when I was a kid?The All Abilities Playground at Heather Farm Park is by far the best, completely-free, open-to-the-public playground I've been to. Anywhere. It's big, clean, and safe with a wide variety of play areas for children of all ages (from toddlers to age 12) and abilities (including children with disabilities). The playground opened October 2014 and covers 30,000 square feet.My three-and-a-half-year-old niece absolutely loves this place and it's easy to see why. The playground has all sorts of fun stuff for her to do. Most of the playground consists of colorful, elevated bridges, canopies, decks, and tubes/tunnels that can be climbed up to via ramps, steps, stepping stones/platforms, ladders, and climbing walls/chains. Kids can choose to go down a number of different slides with varying twists, turns, and steepness levels. The playground's flooring is made out of soft shock-absorbent material. There's a rocking boat, rock climbing walls, monkey bars, a swing set (with both traditional swings and bucket swings for toddlers), giant bugs the kids can ride/rock on (my niece loves the ladybug), a large sandbox type area, a small hill to slide down (cardboard mats appear to be provided by the park or others), play logs and rocks, and fun-looking, unique climbing structures that I don't even know how to begin to describe. For adults, there's plenty of seating (benches) and shade along with picnic tables out on the grass.A free parking lot is conveniently located next to the playground entrance. Restrooms are located in the building across the parking lot (this is not the building by the pond). The playground cost about $1.25 million to build and was funded by special voter-approved park funds, city and county park funds, and private donations from fundraising. Learn more about this terrific playground on the Walnut Creek Civic Pride Foundation website at http://www.wccivicpride.org/playground.I look forward to returning with both my nieces in the future!

My kids are in middle school but they still love it here. There are two enormous play structures, a climbing wall, and three artificial hills covered in Astroturf that the kids like to slide down. Tip: if your kids want to do some sliding, remember to bring a cardboard box. There are dogs in the park, but they're not supposed to be off leash. (There is a dog park about a quarter-mile away.) there is a lot of goose poop in the grass though, so watch out!Another plus if you like to fish; they stock the pond here, and I see families fishing here all the time.

Amazing park and playground! As we drove up, the kids could hardly wait to get out. We were driving through to the airport for a long flight and wanted to tucker the kids out. Check! Clean safe areas for toddlers to big kids, and there looked to be spaces for picnics, games on the grass, and even a water feature/ pond. Super fun!

This is one of the the coolest parks I've ever been to! It's not even "a park," it's like 4 parks all in one! We came here on a weekend and it was packed and I can see why! There were like 3 ice cream trucks and a Kona ice truck parked in the parking lot- wish there would have been a taco truck too I don't know if this is something they do regularly or if I just got lucky? I will definitely be going back!
