It has been a long time since I have been to a haunted house, and I heard this was the best value for money in the Bay Area. There are four haunted houses, each with its own theme. The tickets are only sold online with time slots and none sold in-person. I arrived at 7:00 PM on a Friday premium night, and there were a decent amount of people; however, things started getting busier when it was nearing 8:00 PM. I am so glad I arrived at that time because the wait lines were max 10 minutes or less per house and when we went to the house closest to the entrance, I believe we waited around 25 minutes as it was picking up business. Once we left, all the lines to all houses were flooded in rows of people. I would've imagined people would have waited 30-60 minutes to enter without the speed pass. Highly recommend coming in at 7:00, no need for a speed pass. 2 of the 4 haunted houses stood out to me, the frost-themed one and the pirate-themed ones were scary and very well decorated. The scare actors were fun to interact with when you're trynna have fun. The other two were alright. No strobe light flash warning at the maze! There was no caution or warning to those who could have epilepsy/seizure episodes.

PLEASE READ BEFORE ATTENDINGThis haunted house began in one man's garage on Emerson street right here in Livermore, where he did it for neighborhood kids. Over the years, he's grown it into something much bigger and at a larger scale. This year (2024), the attraction has much more actors and scarier experiences than last year. Remember by attending and paying the tickets, you're supporting a local business, not a big corporation like Six Flags. So let's give a huge shoutout to the owner for all the hard work--and for making Halloween even more exciting for all of us!

We had a great time!!!! Thank you making a 51 year old parent feel like a teenager again. We brought our teen girls to the Pirates of the Emerson. I had just as much fun screaming my lungs out scared as they did. This is our second year coming and we can't wait to come back next year.

In a world of overhyped, mediocre haunted houses, this one is the real deal! The band played the same couple songs over and over, so I'm not sure that added to the experience, but the skill and detail that went into the 4 haunts on site were as great as they've always been! For someone that's been attending pirates of Emerson since they moved to warm springs, Fremont many years ago before relocating to the alameda county fairgrounds, their attractions have never failed to amuse.Go early or on a weekday if possible, because without a speedoass it took us 100 minutes to get through without one (including the virtual fear experience for an added fee). I can only imagine the lines on weekends, definitely get the soeedoass if you wait for then.I've attended so many haunted houses over the years, and this one keeps me coming back!

This is probably one of the best haunts around i came the first day and hr they opened up. Lol I forgot about the pay parking so I zoomed right past it oops . I did end up paying. I really don't understand paying for parking but there's your options so it's fair. There's a lot of parking outside the grounds you'd just have a lil bit of a walk but don't trip it's not too much and there's plenty options. My experience there I feel like it's better if you bring a date or friends. It's definitely an experience. It's mentally submersing. I like how it's a whole grounds not like you're just inside some place and oh thanks for coming bye. You get to really walk around and take it all in. I highly suggest coming on a day there's bands playing so you really get that full experience. They really go all out with the characters they have here and the setups . Haha I kept getting bombarded with blood vials.

Pirates of Emerson really brought it this year, on a Thursday night no less. Special shout-out to the clown who was scaring the bejeezus out of everyone taking selfies. I've had so many great times here over the past 20+ years. They even had a drive-thru haunt during quarantine in 2020. Best haunt in the Bay nowadays.

Just had a fun, screaming time at Pirates of Emerson in Pleasanton at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. Parking is $15 credit card only, gate 8, and entrance to the left. I got a discount from their advertisement at the Alameda County Fair this pass summer so tickets were $33.25 including service fee, originally $43.25.There are 4 haunted houses: Pirates of Emerson, Pandemonium, Psycho Pass, and downdEmic(which was not the best, clowns, strobe lights, and walking through a tight maze that was rubber, kinda like those black punching bags, made for a lackluster time in this particular haunted house). The houses were all thrills, shrills, and screams. Lots of jumps and scares and tons of fog from the fog machine. We got tickets for 7 and arrived about 5 minutes before opening. The lines were quick and the wait was under 5 minutes except for the last haunted house, downdEmic which had a little longer maybe 6/7 minutes it went by quickly. Lots of photo ops, fast pass to get ahead of the lines, a few concession stands, a virtual house but it was an extra fee and not sure what it was about. Defiantly arrive early.
