I take off one star only because there is no bathroom here. The Bel Air grocery store and Starbucks is only about a half mile away from the playground. This is such a cute park that was renovated in the last few years to include a zip line, a merry-go-round type feature, covered tables and big kid and little kid play areas. I love that they have a working water fountain for big kids little kids and dogs as well as a water bottle refill station.Pedersen Park and the connecting park offer beautiful trees year round - pretty good shade in the summertime, great foliage in the fall and even when they're bare the trees still look beautiful.

I have been visiting Pedersen Park since I moved nearby (2018)! It is a nice sized park with plenty of walking areas! Dog-friendly, family-friendly, bike-friendly, and pedestrian friendly. Pedersen Park has plenty of big beautiful trees! Which, in turn means a plethora of shade if you want to have a picnic or a nice place to place a blanket down to lay in the grass. The park is perfect to do your cardio workouts, walk your dogs, walk, run, ride bikes, fly kites, and more! If you're out for a walk, you can also walk in the shade. I am so glad I have a beautiful park so close to enjoy! It was a great place to get outside during COVID too! The park features 2 dog poop stations, drinking fountains, and trash bins. The playground and covered picnic tables was recently renovated! It features two playgrounds for both young children and older children to play in. The covered seating is perfect for parents and families to relax. they also have benches around the playgrounds. I only wish we had bathrooms!

I really like the new renovations. The only downside is there is no bathroom and the picnic table area has been closed off.

This park is where my wife and I took our daughter to play some 20 years ago. Don't tell my daughter I said that! What's nice about this park is they offer a large play area with climbing structures, slides and a playhouse. Benches around the play area and water fountains line the pathway. A Dog Waste Station is also available for your family pets. Its tree covered path is perfect for that evening stroll. You do find children flying kites on windy days. Flag football teams practicing for the next big game. People exercising with their personal trainer. This is a muti-purpose park. Due to the drought the lawn has gotten a little brown, and I commend the City of Elk Grove for conserving water. The only reason I had to take a star away is the parking situation. The city implemented a bike path along Laguna Oaks Drive which boarders the length of the park. Reducing the number of cars that can park. It is well maintained and is waiting for your enjoyment!

This is a good park. It's on the corner but the structure isn't close to the street. Wide open space and also a bike/walking path. I think it has a drinking fountain. Good for the kids.
