Park Place Apartments

Stay away from this place if at all possible - We have been here for over 3 years and it has been a nightmare from the beginning. Our unit was not ready for move in, there was a Stanger in our home the day we moved in, barely starting to paint the walls! The parking is awful! Good luck if you have more than 1 vehicle in your household. Management is more interested in making more $ than taking care of the units or the tenants. There are absolutely zero upgrades in our unit but the rent goes up every time the lease expires for no good reason. It's almost as if they are encouraging quick turn arounds just for a profit. Every neighbor we've had, except for 1, has been a nightmare! Slamming doors & windows, loud music all hours of the day & night, parties, yelling, fighting, "squatters" posting up in downstairs unit with a former tenant. Don't bother complaining to management because even if they do contact the problem tenants, which i doubt that they even do, the problems continue without consequences. The maintenance man is extremely nice and does his job, however, at no fault of his own, maintenance is more like patching than repairing. Probably because management will only approve the cheapest solution possible. We had a fridge that was leaking water when we first moved in and i had to argue my case with the manager on why we needed it replaced, she tried to tell me that they just put that one in our unit! It was broken inside and leaking water, did you take it from the dumpster?? I would never recommend living here to anyone i liked. Happy Hunting

I've lived here for almost a year and was very appreciative of how the management held my concerns to their upmost priority without constant reminder. She was very professional and informative with my husband and children's concerns prior to moving in. It is a very quiet neighborhood and most of the neighbors are very considerate. It is a great place for families!

The worst management I have ever had to deal with! She never seems to be in the office when she is needed. She does nothing about the concerns of the tenants. She lets anyone and everyone live there. The joke there is NO PARKING PARK PLACE!!! No parking due to tenants having multiple cars, tenants having non-running, expired registration. Some tenants are NOT parking in their assigned parking and taking the guest parking. There is TWO handicap spots and tenants have treated them like assighned parking its never open for a handicap guest. The maintenance guy has two guest spots with no parking cones in them. Cars have been tagged but still remain in the spots, tagged with cobwebs and weeds growing around the cars. There needs to be some kind of monitor and reinforcement to the parking or lack of parking! Kids play and run up and down the stairs in the lawn area, The hot tub is not working properly. The landscapers have taken numerouse breaks in the bushes leaning up against the units (by the windows) under a tree talking very loud and in spanish disturbing the tenants. The units are old and havent been updated- peeling old cabinets, cuts in the counter cheap formica, miss matched floor mouldings, stained carpets (after being cleaned) poor paint and patch jobs on the walls. Just old and ran down the manager has a quick turn around instead of updateing the units. The Pg&E bill seems very high for a small 1 or two bedroom apartment. I would recommend looking around before moving here : (

Awful place to live. Rude and greedy management. My car got stolen, my neighbors car was sitting on cement bricks from tires being stolen; all within a 2-3 month span, inside the apartment complex parking lot. Security is a joke, no cameras on site, they'll tell you to invest in your own. They'll give you the run around for your deposit with unlimited reasons why they are keeping it, so don't expect it back. Couldn't be happier I went with my gut and signed a 6 month And got out of there as soon as it was up. Not worth the price they charge at all!

Horrible management, These apartments do not care about their tenants and will find any reason to take more money out your wallet. If you don't renew your lease the rent goes up extremely high. Parking is a nightmare. If you have more than 1 car forget about it. The whole neighborhood and their cousins hop the fence and help themselves to the pool and even play beer pong while children are swimming WHILE MANAGEMENT IS THERE. Last I checked the pool was for tenants only. Stay away from these apartments.

Very unhappy with this complex and its management. Our apartment required many repairs immediately upon move-in (all which took quite a while to complete), and we are still suffering with the dog urine smell both inside our apartment and on the patio from the dogs of the previous tenant. I'm so upset that we are stuck here for a year and haven't received any assistance from management regarding this issue. All we get is denial and a total lack of compassion. Definitely think twice before moving into this complex. You'll have a headache from the management and the train that practically runs through your apartment.

Worst place ever to live. Management there she lets anyone and everyone live there. The place is very run down, hard to find a parking if you have more then one car. The manager there she cares more about getting her money then how the people are living. I did 4 yrs there and never have a seen the manager do her rounds other then drive around the complex on her way out. My A/C had trouble working since I lived there and it never got fixed right, the HVAC Tech said we needed a new one and the Management said I will have to just live with it. I argued the case that my PG&E bill was over 300 hundred dollars for a 975sqft Apartment. I would never advise anyone to move there unless you have no other choice like I did have. To get it into the apartment just flirt a little with the manager as she dresses very unprofessional and lets every thing and everything hang out. BEWARE renter.

as a resident for nearly a year, i will honestly have to say i love my two bedroom / two bath, washer / dryer hook ups and vaulted ceiling unit. i call it home, yes i do call it home!! not only do i have this in my home, my family and i have full access to the laundry facilities, a nice hot spa (super cozzy) and swimming pool that we all and many other residents enjoy!!!! also plenty of greenery so you can play with your children if you have any or maybe a picnic with friends and family.as for the staff, i will honestly say i love the office manager she has always been sweet from the start, on top of her work and she actually cares about her residents. very professional in all aspects of her duties and she does it with a smile =). if you have a or any issues you give her a call or leave message & within 24 hours or sooner she contacts you back with an answer, unless its emergency you contact the hot line. she has also planned many events for residents to attend esp for the children, for the holidays, summer, etc!! now where would you get that in our own environment a few feet away from your door?? no where thats what i say!!! as for the maintenance gentleman he will take care of your in home fixtures, doesn't lag or complain. he is very professional and without a frown. he enjoys laughing and making the residents laugh as well. i have seen him personally take special care of some of the elders that live around here and check up on them if he doesnt see them around ( i know this because there my neighbors). the bottom line is this, i love everything about park place and what it stands for. what this small community has done for me and my family. since day one i have been welcomed with open arms from the staff, and eventually made a few friends with other residents. majorly of them mind there own business as i do as well and what i like. i also have recommended a few aquintances to move in here and they feel the same way i do towards mgmt and their units.the bottom line is there is nothing negative to say unless your just one negative person(s). woo hoo park place for making me feel like home!!!!!!!!!

Very disappointed in this community. Signed a year lease and have already had so many problems. The staff maintenance men are terrible. One was too old, got nothing done, the next was a drunk and our new guy is a drug dealer. He is in tight with the manager and a couple other tenants so it has done no good to complain. It takes forever to get anything done round here. I suggest not renting here. Are lease will be up and were out of here.

My advice is don't settle. We settled on the first place we looked and while it wasn't horrible, we feel like we could have had better. Parking is a nightmare! You get one spot - if you are a two car household then be prepared to frequently park on Crom St and sometimes Golf Cir. The train will DRIVE YOU INSANE. I was on the far side of the complex and our apartment always shook. I feel sorry for the poor SOB's that moved in right next to the tracks. In the last year they have struggled with car theft and people breaking into the mail boxes. It got to the point were you are urged to bring outgoing mail to post office. They never clean the fireplaces. Fireplaces need to be cleaned yearly but they never seemed bothered enough to do it. From a safety standpoint that really irked me. I personally had some other issues when moving in - filthy apartment with an overpowering stench of curry that took months to get out. Your mileage will vary; I like to think it was just bad timing. They did make a half-#$% attempt to fix it but that was it. Overall, management could be better; communication was atrocious. Office was hard to get a hold of, poor follow-up. We had issues with maintenance entering the unit without permission or notice; again your mileage may vary. Our stay at Park Place was so-so, I would have a hard time recommending the place to anyone. The one thing that we did like was that the area is quiet, we only had the power go out once in 3 years which is pretty good.
