Very friendly staff, good selection on parts, but wish the prices weren't so high! Would be nice to see more boating accessories on the floor.

As a first time boat owner i had no idea how expensive it was to buy parts. Luckily these guys helped out each time and even told me not to buy some parts since it was unnecessary. If they really didn't care they would've just sold me the 100 $ part and called it a day but they advise me not to replace it since it rarely goes out and saved me money which is something anyone would genuinely appreciate

They are now at the same location as Delta Marine Sales under I-5 at the San Joaquin River in Stockton. I have been there for service twice, once for tune up on 250 Verados, and again for a steering pump change out. Timely and efficient and I watched their work. Garland the owner is reputable, other staff businesslike and friendly, and one of the best places in Sac/Stockton to have your work done.

Terrible place to get your boat repaired. They held my boat for nearly 3 months without even giving it a diagnostic. I called once a week and was told they would "get to it this week". Every time I called they looked at the work order and knew exactly how long my boat had been sitting there. I finally went and made the hour drive to go check out my boat and to see what the progress was; once again in person I was told "we will get to it later today by 2pm and we'll give you a call", so I decided to go take a look at it out back in their yard. My boat had been rained in, full of water and the tarp not properly fixed due to the wind blowing it. I told them I was going to take my boat out right now, as it was not even in their main parking lot, it was in a grassy field just disregarded that looked like a storage yard. They had to move 4 other boats just to get mine out from the field, they pulled my boat to the front so I could hook it up and did not even apologize once for wasting my time. I will never recommend this place to anyone that wants their boat worked on.

I live in Sacramento and could not find a local shop who knew how to work on my North River jet boat or wanted to. Finally after over two dozen calls to three states I found a boat dealer who knew about Paradise Point Boat Repair. A quick call later and Linsey and Garland answered all of my questions. I made the appointment and boy did they fix my issues with my jet drive bearings. Local shops mention 3,000-6,000 dollar quote yet they wanted to send all of the parts out to other shops. I had it fixed right and at less than 1/2 of what Sacramento prices. I was so happy I had them do additional little fixes "new Tachometer" and rewire fish finder. Use them and trust them! I will be back!!!John C.

I took my Mercury 15hp motor in for service and a grinding noise. Found out that the lower unit seal had failed. Garland stated that there was no gear oil in the lower unit, but I had shut it off right away so he was able to reseal the lower unit and service the rest of the motor with no problems. My experience was excellent. Even in the busiest time of the year, they had my motor back to me in less than 2 weeks. I would recommend this shop to anybody. Lyndsey and Garland kept me up to date on everything that needed to be done. Garland also answered all my questions as he was finishing up the repair on my motor. Repair cost was lower than I was anticipating. Thank you for great customer service, I will be back.

Lindsey Schwager at Paradise Point Engine and Boat Repair sold me a Mercury 20hp on 7/22/2020. I was told it was a return, but a brand new motor. I received it the day their mechanic did what I was told was the original setup and inspection. He showed me the Mercury inspection checklist items he checked off. I received the warranty book, but not a warranty card to turn in. Lindsey said she will handle the warranty. I called a week later to check the warranty was taken care of and again was told she would take care of it. I was not told the warranty was originally filled out 8 months earlier, or the motor was sold that long ago. I bought it as a new motor, (which come with a 3 year warranty) and was not told otherwise. There was no mention of it not having full warranty by the seller verbally or on the invoice. I tried to start the motor on 7/1/2023 for the first time this year with the start button and it would not start. This was 3 weeks less than 3 years since I bought the motor. The engine had about 35 hours on it since I bought it. A Mercury certified repair shop at the marina where I tried to start the engine did the repair. (Mariners Express at Tahoe Keys in South Lake Tahoe) It was a relay, the pull start assembly, and shift cable they said were bad. I thought the pull start assembly replacement was odd since I never started the engine with the pull start. After I sent Mariners Express the receipt to show it is under warranty for 3 more weeks, they said they were told it was registered under a different name and the warranty expired 12/2022. Here is a text from them:I just got off the phone with mercury. They confirmed the warrantee for that serial number went out 12/2022. He said if it was in warrantee they would warrantee both items. I have them both on order, but they are in IL, not CA.I called Lindsey and was told it shouldn't matter whose name the warranty was listed. She would check with Mercury. At that point I thought there must just be a mistake that would be corrected. I called Mariners Express and was told I had to pay, which I did. $765. I was not told I was buying a motor with less than a 3 year warranty. I should have been told especially if it was 8 months less of a warranty. This is not right. Also at the bottom of my receipt for the motor it says:OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. Which I was not. I wrote this note to their website customer comment section twice. That section says they respond within 24 hours and I never heard from them. I called several times and was put on hold, then disconnected. Subsequent calls were not answered. I called Mercury Marine and they confirmed the warranty turned in showed the motor was bought in Michigan on 12/2020. What comes to mind here is the word "Fraud". Please don't buy anything from Paradise Point Engine and Boat Repair in Stockton CA. This review should have been negative stars, but you have to select at least one star to post.

Bought an old Ranger bass boat with a Yamaha115. Shortly thereafter, the trim seal began leaking. Calling around, couldn't find an appointment for months however Lindsey was able to squeeze me in the following week. Not only did they fix the seal, they did a full service on the motor at a fair price. Great customer service, will definitely use them again down the road.
