The Palo Alto Junior Museum & Zoo is an absolute gem! We finally took our kids (I'd been wanting to go for awhile) and we all had the most enjoyable time. Parking is easy and there's a huge playground and park next door to the facility. Inside, there's a wide variety of exhibits, and what's really great is that even the younger kids can find plenty to engage with. There are tons of interactive elements everywhere, from building areas to musical instruments and ball runs - it's a truly hands-on experience. One of the highlights was definitely feeding the flamingos! It was such a unique and memorable experience for the kids (and parents!). The rope treehouse was another huge hit, offering a fun and adventurous climbing challenge for our 3 year old (parents can also fit if your child would like accompaniment). The dinosaur garden is also a standout. It wasn't just a few static models; there were brushes and tools for the kids to pretend they were real paleontologists, excavating fossils. My son spent ages digging and exploring.Beyond the exhibits themselves, the entire facility is clean and well-organized. The flow from one area to another is very intuitive, making it easy to navigate even when there are more people there. The only downside is that tickets often sell out, especially on weekends and holidays. We learned this the hard way (which is why it took us so long to get out there), so definitely book your tickets online well in advance to avoid disappointment!Overall, the Palo Alto Junior Museum & Zoo is a fantastic destination for families. It's engaging, educational, and just plain fun for all. 10/10, highly recommended!

Weekday afternoon admission is $10!!There is no discount on children, one price for all. This small zoo is neatly maintained and very cute. They have inside space that kids can play when it's raining. They had 3 o'clock flamingo feeding.I hope for more animals, coz it's not enough to spend a whole afternoon. But they are new born friendly and nice, I highly recommend to visit some afternoon!YouTube: https://youtu.be/26vwHm-CSQU?si=ATdj3g6sreJ_TqD5

Love taking the children to the Palo Alto Junior museum and zoo. So many fun and educational experiences! The zoo area is perfect for little ones ...just enough and they get to feed the flamingoes. Lots if interesting activities and the dinosaur park is cool. Only $14 so very affordable. You are encouraged to get your tickets online as they limit how many people can enter at a time

Palo Alto Museum & Zoo is small but mighty! First thing, you have to buy your tickets in advance online. They have different times to come in and you can stay as long as you want. Parking was plenty at 10am on Saturday but there also is a large playground next to it. They do allow re-entry, we left to run around the playground to wait for the bald eagle showing. It's separated into three different areas : the zoo, the Museum with lots of learning play, and the dinosaur garden. All different types of animals and some of them roam free like the duckies, baby flamingos , and peacock. They have flamingo feedings twice a day and bald eagle showings on certain days. I even learned a lot about the eagle. I was nervous my 5 year would get bored fast but seeing the animals roam and seeing the animals up close was very fun for him. I would definitely recommend coming ! It was $14/person.

Very small zoo and museum, but it felt open and clean. There really aren't many animals. The flamingos and meerkats are really the most exotic animals they have there. It IS super cool that they have a flamingo feeding, but there's a huge line you have to wait through if you want to do that, which may be hard with a young child. And it's only at a specific time each day.The indoors is also pretty small, but there are enough minor exhibits to entertain a toddler for hours, probably. And as I mentioned previously, it's a nice, clean feeling space, so it's a pleasant place to pass the time and entertain your kiddo. Tickets are only $10 which is shockingly cheap to me for Palo Alto. If I lived closer, I would definitely get membership so I could go more frequently, especially in the summer, when it's too hot to go to an unshaded park/playground.

Quaint, cute museum and zoo, perfect for toddlers and young kids. Because of the museum's smaller size, if you're able to, use a carrier or Tushbaby (I'd recommend that over a stroller). I couldn't imagine maneuvering my Uppababy stroller on a day like today when it was jam packed. There are many interactive activities inside, fossils and dinosaurs to see in the dinosaur garden, and a treehouse to climb at the zoo. They even have a small baby area for kiddos 18 months and younger. Prices recently increased and are $14 per ticket (kids/adults 1 year and older) during peak hours (weekday mornings and weekends).

Small but a cute zoo and learning center for young kids. There are different areas kids can play with gadgets where they can also learn about science. There is a dinosaur garden (quite small) but it's a nice place to sit and take a few pictures with some dino buddies. The zoo itself has a few wildlife on display, primarily a variety of birds. They have bunny rabbits, raccoons, and a really nice fish pond that is transparent on one side and great for viewing their fish collection. There are areas for young children to crawl through and a rope bridge for kids to travel on the second floor. It's in a nice and safe area right next to a beautiful park. Parking lot on site and overflow street parking is also available.

We stumbled upon this delightful museum and zoo that's conveniently closer than the ones in San Francisco. Perfect for younger kids, especially my three-year-old niece who loves hands-on activities. The junior museum is akin to the Children's Discovery but at a fraction of the cost, making it worthwhile to become a member. The only challenge is its small size, so purchasing tickets for a time slot in advance is highly recommended. Morning spots are usually booked fast, but afternoons work well. The museum is vibrant, creative, and kids have a blast. My niece enjoys the zoo outdoors, climbing, and checking out the dinosaurs. The only drawback is limited space and no snack area anywhere on premise. We are told it was because of critters. However, the nearby playground compensates for a nice break area. There's no souvenir shop or refreshments, but I highly recommend it for young elementary school kids. Parking is available, though the lot can fill up, but street parking is an option. Overall, a fun and worthwhile place to visit regularly. Be prepare to chase your kids around the zoo and wear comfortable sneakers.
