Summer Swim Lessons June through August

Loved almost everything about it. Great pool separated into sections for different ages including a great splash pool for little tikes and a water slide for elementary kids all the way to kids in their 40's brave enough to ack like a kid. 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the seriously limited hours for the general public, which is due to swim lessons, so it's a major and minor complaint at the same time. I'm glad for the lessons, I just wish it was open for unorganized swimming more days and longer than 3 hours at a time. Go check it out. Would be great if you have small kids who like a routine outing twice a week.

Love the size and depth and slide. Don't like that my son can't use his safety float. Never super busy.

This is quite possibly my favorite public pool ever! Always clean, staff is professional and I have rented the entire pool for Birthday parties multiple times over the past 20 years and it's always magical! I only wish you could rent it for longer periods of time (like up to 5 hours!)

Oh my yes! The pool is incredibly clean & well maintained. With a beach entry, seniors and people who need a gradated entry will find it easy to access the pool. The water is warm, the benches shaded and the time to swim coming closer! My only complaint was a very wet locker room, but that was after a kids' swim practice. Otherwise, it's clean, smells fine & there are enough bathrooms you don't have to wait. There's a small changing area. The shower doesn't have a curtain, I'm guessing it's for people to rinse it before swimming. Or, leave your modesty at home & wash that chlorine out of your hair!

Orangevale Pool has a big blue slide. When I was very little, I couldn't slide on it. I bet I could, but I was just too scared. I just went with my dad. It has a very shallow end then it starts to get deeper. It sure is crowded. There is barely enough space to jump. Maybe that's because it's a popular pool. You are not allowed to wear floaties there. They don't have otter pops, but they sell candy. At the edge of the pool there is a shady place where there are chairs and tables where people set up. In front, there are people in the sunshine drying off.

On July 10th I'm just appalled by the incidents that happened. I saw lifeguards (found out his name was Charles) not doing their job correctly. I saw children struggling in front of him and not react where other lifeguards had to go and save them. Later on I walked into the bathroom there was trash everywhere, trash was overflowing from the boxes, there was no toilet paper, and it was flooding. I felt like I should have been wearing a body suit I felt so gross. But on a positive note on a couple experiences there were three lifeguards, two in red shirts Michael, Gabby and Elise were spectacular. They really knew what they were doing and I witnessed how good they are with their work environment.
