An excellent way to stay in shape and make new friends. I've been coming for 3 months and have nothing but glowing things to say about my new swing and can't wait for a summer tan!

My girlfriend and I are new to tennis so we've been scoping out places to practice. Coach Antwan kindly gave us a tour of the facility as well as a brief history of Oak Park Tennis center. He even took us out to hit a few balls and gave us a few pointers. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the park and also Coach Antwan's enthusiasm for the sport. He seems like the ideal person to run this place and also to provide private instruction. Can't wait to spend more time here enjoying the game of tennis.

Everyone is so nice there! The courts are in great condition and work well for tennis tournaments. We are not members but were there for a tournament. I would say the place needs a little updating (only one restroom each for men and women) but overall, this is much better than many other tennis centers we've been to.

Looking to pick up some tennis matches? Whether it's singles or doubles you're looking for, this is where I go. There's a small shop of tennis equipment and a small court fee, and different players with a wide range of skill levels. Members of Oak Park and the tennis community here are genuine. The courts and restrooms are well maintained. It's good to know two things: when parking, I've heard stories of theft, so keep valuables with you or out of sight and make sure to lock your vehicles. 2nd, sometimes there are tournaments on the weekends here, both local and USTA events with free spectating. Moreover, you won't be able to play if all these courts are reserved for that particular weekend, so contact them in advance

Such a great facility with an atmosphere that'll make you feel at home instantly. 10 courts plus a pro court with a ball machine. Coach Antwan knows what's up and is a great teacher for all levels and ages. If you're looking for a place to play tennis with great people who just love the game, you need to be here.

I decided to come here to watch a tennis match and it was fine. The facility itself seemed a tad older but everyone here was nice and friendly. The courts also seemed to be well maintained and there are definitely a lot of people coming and out of the facility and a lot of events going on. While I was there to watching a USTA Mens 4.0 tennis match I heard that there was also a small tennis tournament going on so there were no very many courts available for the public use. I believe there is a court fee since I noticed it while they were advertising the rates in the bathroom. I always found it weird that there would be a court fee at what looks to be a public park facility but that is just my take on it. I guess I am spoiled from being from Sacramento and having a bunch of free public tennis courts around me with lights.

Correction to my last review, the courts are not free, but the fee is very reasonable. I took a troop of Girl Scouts here for a USTA tennis play day and it was a great afternoon. There are tennis pros available for lessons both group and individual and a nice pro shop on the premises. The area is secure and you have to enter via the gate closest to the shop. Go out and play!

I have been playing here for about 10 years and have found a great sense of community in the regular players. The quality of tennis, as you would expect, is quite varied, as are the ages of the players. Equally varied are the ethnicities and native cultures of the members with people from numerous different places all coming together for our common interests. Even on a rainy day, I can drop by just to hang out with friends, and when the sun is out, it is a rare day when I cannot find somebody to hit with, the exceptions being when we are hosting large tournaments. Despite my 70 years of age, for the past year I have been taking lessons from the pro, and my game has improved quite a lot. The courts themselves are in good, but not great, playing condition, and appropriate repairs to nets and related infrastructure are made promptly. Over-all, an excellent community club!

DO NOT leave ANYTHING in the car even a visible DIME or a BROKEN tennis racquet displaying it may cost you $$$ to replace your car windows. Yes, that is so true about this OAK PARK tennis club. Last weekend, we had a family gathering in Stockton and we decided to hit some balls with kids and had some family activities at OAK PARK Tennis Club (http://www.stocktontennisclub.net/). As just warming up, soon enough, my sisters car has broken two windows and they stole a bag of coins and the purse in the middle of the crowd. As being visitors, we weren't aware of how bad of this place. After the incident, we have talked to several people there and we were told that this seems to happen very frequent. One of the gentlemen (a local tennis player) pointed to me that indeed, another shattered broken glass was still there and indicating the crime was happened very recently. I've unbelievingly shaken my head and realized it, a costly lesson was learnt. We just wished we were informed by the staffs and sorta a visible *WARNING* sign hanging up as it does frequently happen (everyday or sometime twice a day). Unfortunately, there isn't any of that. Of course, at very first thing, we called the police to make a report, they told me no police is available to come out and do a report on line. It seems to me, the criminal is aware of this, hence, they freely continue to do their 'stealing'. The reason i am writing this review is that i would not want you to be another victim. -----NEVER COME BACK AGAIN... ------
