Looking forward to Oak Farm improving my rating of them. My husband and I visited for the first time on a whim this last Friday and the quality of their wine is what is single handedly carrying them right now in spite of their staff. I'll add that we did become members because their wine is delicious. HOWEVER...Someone needs to have a serious talk with some of their employees who are taking the need to have a reservation to unnecessary lengths. We showed up at 10:59am Friday to taste since the winery had been recommended by a staff member at a different winery in Lodi that we are members. Showed up to an essentially empty tasting room and were asked if we had a reservation. Said no, hopefully we can be accommodated. Was told, oh you're so lucky because we actually have a spot for you. We were put at the bar with Jeremy (he was very nice and helpful). Over the course of the hour, the lady came over two more times to talk to us about having reservations. Mind you, in that hour, no other people have entered the winery. About 15 minutes into our tasting, this pair of women who were already there when we arrived wanted to taste. They were put at the bar immediately next to us despite the empty tasting room. I totally understand and appreciate managing visitors in an orderly manner with reservations but I almost got the feeling they'd rather turn us away since we didn't have a reservation despite the winery being empty. Like I said, we became members because the wine was awesome and the grounds were beautiful. But if I was the owner of Oak Farm Winery, I'd want to know that you have a situation with great negative liability on your hands.

Brook a host who greets you at the front counter made it perfectly cleary CHILDREN ARE NOT WELCOMED on this propertyl! No exceptions! She indicated it was considered a huge liability! Really, because how I understand it, I think serving alchohol to adults is a far greater liability than having your child with you as you enjoy the surroundings.Wines are good, and nearly everyone I came into contact with was kind and polite. We just didn't care for their policy because we were coming from our boat and didn't feel comfortable leaving our children behind and wanted to simply purchase some wine and possibly enjoy the surroundings a little longer.

I came here this past Saturday and had a bad experience. As soon as we walked in the vibe was off. All staff seemed self involved with no concern on service. Jeremy was the one who helped us with our wine tasting and he absolutely did not care. He was rude and cold to us. While he was very helpful and nice to two groups next to us. Barely attended us and kept rushing our tasting. Mind you this tasting was 45mins, but he rushed us out in 20mins. The grounds are beautiful, but the service brings this place down. Would not recommend at all!! Opt for Bokisch instead who have beautiful grounds and phenomenal staff with great service!!

Blown away by this lovely winery. Looked them up on Google and booked a reservation for my birthday. We actually showed up over an hour early but they were able to adjust the reservation and help us right away. They tasting are at the bar, you stand as theirs aren't any barstools. You can move to the tables or big leather chairs if you get a glass, bottle or food. The tasting was $20 for your choice of 5 wines listed on their tasting menu. Let me tell you, each one was better than the previous! I was blown away at how much I enjoyed the wines and the service was absolutely amazing. The sweet lady pouring for us hears it was my birthday so she poured two glasses of brut for my mom and I to toast and she comped a little scoops of sorbet. After our tasting, we ordered two glasses of the malbec, a MUST try and two bottles to take home. We also ordered food and sat in the big leather chairs by a fire. We ordered deviled eggs and a salmon tartine. The deviled eggs were delicious and the salmon was amazing! The toast was loaded and I loved the flavor of everything all together. We did end with the pomegranate sorbet cuz why not. We had such a lovely afternoon here and if I wasn't already a meaner elsewhere I would have signed up. Oh well, guess I'll be making another trip out. Thank you much OF for an amazing way to spend my birthday.

This is an update based on the business' defensive response to my review - a response full of misguided assumptions - aimed at discrediting a review not to their taste. A wise representative of the business would take each review as a sincere opportunity to learn and improve the business rather than lambast and insult customers. To clarify erroneous assumptions made in the business response, I did discuss my concerns in good faith" with staff at the event we attended. It was only when I received the promotion for the second event that I decided to write the review. To be clear, one does not need to attend an event to criticize the nature of it's structure. A $40 dollar cover charge that grants NOTHING but entry to listen to a local duo - no light tasting, no apps - is ridiculous. Another point of clarity, I did visit the event site to learn more, watched videos of the duo covering other artists' music, and read the details before sharing my review. With respect to the musician, they would make a fine accompaniment to an event where wine is poured and food provided. I would pay double the charge, but a $40 cover charge for the music alone, no. If you do not like the reviews you are receiving, make some changes. Laying blame upon others serves only to reveal an air of immaturity and arrogance.I will finish by saying that Oak Farm wines are good, especially for their value. If I was reviewing only their wines, I would give 4 stars. If I was reviewing only their events, I would give 1. People only need to look at the long list of 1 star review to see a clear pattern of the business' problem.

Giving this place 3 stars because their atmosphere and ambiance is amazing. However, the charcuterie board was severely over priced for what we got. I've had many boards at many wineries and this just wasn't it. It had 3 pieces of cheese, and crumbled blue cheese, about 15 almonds, 2 tablespoons of pomegranate kernels, a table spoon of mustard and some slices of salami- for $35. I was super disappointed. I will say the baked ricotta was delicious. However, to drive to a winery and not have a flight on the menu was also disappointing. Our server was super fun but I don't think the price or the experience is worth going back.

A bunch of us got together there for the wine and chocolate event. Oak Farms never disappoints. They seem to have every base covered and done very well!

Atrocious service. I decided out of the many wineries in Lodi to support this winery for my birthday because I've always loved the wine. Boy were we made to feel like a complete inconvenience. After respectfully asking multiple times what I could and couldn't bring beforehand, since I used to work at a winery so I know some are more strict than others, I was anticipating a seamless arrival. Instead we were greeted by a man at check in who scoffed at me, looked me up and down disrespectfully and made me feel like I was inconveniencing him. Even though, plot twist, it's his job to greet and check people in. I made reservations 4 months in advance and was treated like I just walked right up with no warning. Our group was on the bigger side (10 people) and we were completely respectful. No rowdiness, we were not loud, nothing. Most of us have worked at wineries and know how big groups can behave, so we were sure to clean up after ourselves. Yet, every single staff member we encountered acted completely disrespectful and acted completely put out that we were there. There were 4-5 wine bar staff just standing around not offering to help bring down anything that we bought. So we had to carry 10 glasses and 5-6 bottles in ice buckets all by ourselves. Which isn't a huge deal, but the looks we got from staff every time we even just asked a question was something I had never experienced before. The random disrespect was appalling to say the very least. When I worked at a winery we treated everyone with respect, no matter what, and definitely did our jobs and helped out bigger groups. Not a great way to treat girls in a group where their family members are members who have spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars and know the head wine makers personally. On top of all of this, I have breast cancer and being treated this way during a rough time, when I barely get to enjoy time with my friends due to treatment side effects, let alone on my birthday, is just absolutely disgusting. Do yourself a favor and support literally any other winery in Lodi.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Oak Farm Vineyards, a family-owned and operated estate winery nestled in the heart of Lodi, California. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this vineyard offers a wine tasting experience that is without equal in the Lodi appellation. The tasting room sits amid a stunning 70-acre oasis of lush vines and majestic century-old oaks, creating a serene and picturesque backdrop for an unforgettable visit. For a tasting fee of $20, guests can sample up to 5 wines, and I was thoroughly impressed with the selection. My favorites included:the 2022 Fiano (Estate Grown)the 2023 Rosé (Estate Grown)the 2022 Grenache Noir (Davis Vineyard)the 2020 Barbera (Estate Grown)and the 2020 Petit Verdot (Estate Grown). Each wine showcased the exceptional craftsmanship and dedication of the vineyard. If you're a lover of red blends, don't miss the 2019 Raffaele, an exquisite Italian red blend that truly stands out.Valuable tasting tip: if you purchase a bottle of wine, one of your tasting fees is waived. This makes it even more enticing to take home a piece of the vineyard's excellence. Thank me later! The experience was further elevated by the new kitchen addition offering delightful small bites. My personal favorites were the charcuterie board and the California Halibut Ceviche. The charcuterie board was a delightful assortment of two local/imported cheeses, two cured meats, nuts, fruit, crostini, and crackers. The featured local cheese, Point Reyes Truffle Toma, was particularly memorable and absolutely delicious.Overall, Oak Farm Vineyards delivers an exceptional wine tasting experience that is both relaxing and enriching. The combination of superb wines, beautiful surroundings, and delectable bites make it a must-visit destination for any wine enthusiast. I can't wait to return and explore more of their exquisite offerings

If you are looking for a unique experience or a place to take out of town visitors, this is the place to go. It is not a full restaurant, but it is not advertised as such. If that is what you are looking for, you will be disappointed. Personally, I am not a wine drinker, but I have been there many times with family and friends and love it.I was there yesterday as part of a group of 20 senior citizens. We had a wonderful brunch. The food was superb; Lacy is such a talented chef! I like that the menu changes with the seasons so the next time I visit, I can try something different. The dishes were ones we had not experienced before. I had the Mushroom Pot Pie and it was to die for. Our waitress was so friendly. She had a great sense of humor and made our day special. There were many positive comments from the group.Oak Farm is such a beautiful property. I can't wait to go back after Thanksgiving when it is decorated for Christmas. I know it will be magical.Heather took time out of her busy day to speak to the group about the history of the family owned business and patiently answer any questions we had. Thank you so much Heather. Our group will definitely visit here again.
