Review #088 - 2020While we were heading over to Burberry Park to eat our late lunch, we happened to drive by here and my brother says, "we can come back here and take more pictures after we finish eating."My brother doesn't go out much, but the fact that he wanted to come out with me and his kids is mainly because he wanted to test out his new camera--so I was more than happy to bring him back to get some shots.I'm more of a simple click & shoot type of person so my iPhone X works perfectly fine. I don't enjoy lugging a big camera with me especially since I have a 4-year old who runs all over the place. A camera would just add to my responsibility & I am not ok with unnecessary baggage. We showed at around 6:45 PM on Friday, May 8th, and there were a lot of people out jogging, walking, feeding the ducks & geese, and some who even brought their blow up tubes to go into the water. The park is very nice, clean and open. The water seems clean as it didn't have any stench like the Lake Merritt Park in Oakland. I know, I shouldn't compare, but my brother brought it up.We didn't spend too much time here since it was getting late and I wanted to get back home at a reasonable time being that I had to drop everyone off before heading back to my house.Awesome spot to just hang out & do some exercise or people watch.I got some pretty nice pictures for my Yelp review, and that's pretty important!

The second review is going to be for the dog park portion I've been told to come here several times that they have a really nice dog park but this is my first time actually bringing my pooch. Was pleasantly surprised on how they have organization here at the dog park and how it separated large dogs from small dogs even though my dog has a big man dog ego and wanted to be with the bigger dogs he was OK being with dogs his size it was super clean no poop I stepped on I did smell of the larger dogs poop but it was quickly picked up by the owners everyone was super respectful super nice dogs are super friendly no real problems I think I'll be returning Sampson was super happy and had a great time and enjoy the time at the dog park there is no fleas I saw there was places to sit lots of area for him to run in the dirt and in the grass I couldn't ask for more

I love this park. Although there are not many shady trees for having a picnic, there are shady areas to sit and admire the pond. Families come here to fish in the pond, people bring their dogs here for a walk and folks come here to walk and meet at the benches. It is a delightful neighborhood park.

We used to go to the large park off Douglas Blvd. up in Roseville so I was worried this park was going to be much smaller. It's a decent size with two areas, one for small and large dogs... I don't really see the point but can understand for new people or maybe folks coming with small children that may be scared of larger dogs? I have never seen it separate before. The only downside to this park is that they placed it out here with no surroundings for wind resistance at all. We were out last weekend with a few other folks, and it was bitter cold which was fine but the wind factor was awful. We all went home fairly quickly. Needs more large trees! It's a good size for it's location, and enough room for your pup to do a few laps, and several benches for you to relax on.

I have been using this dog park for over a year now and i absolutely love it. My dog is a very small Chug so i appreciate the fact that it is divided into larger dogs and small or timid dogs. It gives us all the option. She loves going to this park, and we try to get there as often as possible. Yes, it is hot in the summer (not many big trees in Natomas) and windy at times, but the great people and dogs that come here daily more than make up for that. I have met so many great friends there. I honestly think i enjoy the dog park as much as my Riley does. Come check us out, i bet you like it!

Fantastic park and always feel safe. The bike/running path is a great way to get someExercise in outdoors. The playground has a huge shade cover making it possible for kids to actually enjoy it during the hot summer months without burning their bums!!! It has been under construction a bit but that's only to make it better. They're adding even more baseball fields. This place is kept up very well and there are always friendly faces out there enjoying it. Because there is a high school nearby there tends to be a lot of trash on the outskirts unfortunately.

I love this park. I walk through it often with my dogs and ride my bike around the loop. It's clearly popular with families. You'll pass many out for a leisurely stroll. As a female, I feel safe in this park. I live in the neighborhood and have never heard of any significant safety issues.I also frequent the dog park. The people are friendly, pick up after their dogs, and most people and dogs are well-behaved. This dog park has a lot of regulars. The city takes care of the park, for the most part. The dog park regulars are assertive about making sure the city maintains this area. I doubt the dog park would be as well maintained if the squeaky wheels weren't there. The drawback is there's not a lot of shade in the summer. It can be brutal in the afternoon anywhere in the park on a hot summer afternoon.

Agility equipment is located in Big Dog Section which involves a long walk through the Big Dog area where there are some unfriendly dogs. I have to use a walker in order to walk, but would like to train my dog for agility work - but the layout makes this almost impossible. Agility equipment should be in a separate section with access to both big and small dogs and should have access for disabled without long walk thru Big (and many) unfriendly dogs. Is this present layout in conformity with the ADA??? If not, it should be. I would like to hear from City of Sacramento representatives responsible for this Park and ADA requirements.
