Thrilled to find this company at Ox Bow Marina. The owner, Leith really knows his boat mechanics. He's taken care of many items on our 33 ft Eco trawler and done a great job. He's not cheap but thorough. He didn't hesitate to drive into town & pick up new batteries right when we needed them.He works on all different types of boats & engines. We've even used him for smaller jobs like fixing our horn and windshield wipers.

I have been working with Leith for over two years and without doubt, he is the best marine technician I've ever been associated with in over 20 years of boat ownership. He is extremely knowledgeable about all marine systems and consistently looks for ways to improve your vessel. As a result of his efforts, my trawler is running better than ever and has gone through a rebuild of the port engine and complete revamping of the fuel intake system. He also performed major service on my ski boat which was overdue. I am very thankful to have met Leith and would not have the confidence in my boat without his efforts. He is a very dedicated and thorough mechanic who takes extreme pride in the service he provides.

We have had all of our boats serviced, repaired, enhanced and pampered by Leith Morse of Nordic Marine. We started our relationship in 1999 with a major refit of all systems on our 58' Hatteras. We have five boats in total, all of which are under the care of Nordic. They even addressed all service on our RV. The only way you know that Leith and company have been on your boat is that it looks better than you left it! We just completed another large project in which Leith was the project manager as well as the main mechanic and installer. He is meticulous and above all, caring about the vessel and the customer. There is no comparison. Along with Wendy, Nordic Marine rates a solid 10 plus!

We are so glad we met the owner, Mr. Leith Morse. We visited the Marina to purchase a boat and with the consultation of Leith we were able to make an informed and wise decision. It was totally by chance that we met this man while walking around the marina before the transaction, wow were we lucky to make this contact. While we were talking another customer was arriving to have work done, we were told that Leith is a great service man as well as extremely helpful. A+, thank you for helping us!!

We have been clients of Leith and Wendy Morse at Nordic Marine for over a decade. He has serviced all our boats - including offshore high performance, express cruiser, ski boat and miscellaneous watercraft. He is a highly sought-after master marine technician both in the Delta and in the Bay - our friends with large boats have been equally pleased with his services. He is currently conducting a pre-purchase mechanical inspection for us on our next boat (Cummins diesels). I would not consider buying a vessel without his inspection/evaluation in advance.Without question he is the most qualified (and honest) technician we have ever dealt with. His expertise has saved us thousands of dollars in repairs and expense. As a retired US Navy officer and pilot I have very high standards for mechanical competence - with his background as a military technician (US Marine Corps) Leith Morse/Nordic Marine consistently meet and exceed our expectations.

This company provides mobile services. I had them replace the oil on my boat located in Willow Berm. They picked up the keys from the Harbor Master and let themselves on board. They changed the oil and refilled it 4 quarts over the dip stick mark. And they left their tools in the engine room so they could bang around into the engine belt . I was underway when I could smell a melting rubber smell and I stopped my engines and found their plastic oil pump melting in front of my motor. Further inspection reveled the oil levels of both my motors were 4 quarts over full. I called Nordic Marine and told them about it and the owner had no explanation. The bottom line is Nordic Marine Sucks!!!!! Do not use this company unless you want more damage to your boat.

I arrived at Oxbow Marina late Friday afternoon of Labor Day Weekend with the port engine shut down in response to an engine alarm occurring on the long trip up from the Bay. The alarm could mean trouble with any of oil pressure or heat exchanger or water pump. But all fluid levels were good, and there were no signs of leaks. Next morning I was informed that Leith of Nordic Marine was aboard his boat one slip over, and I should talk with him. In the middle of a maintenance project of his own, Leith stopped that work and immediately came to my boat and assessed the problem. I mentioned that I would be willing to get underway on the starboard engine for a short weekend trip to another location in the Delta, and fix this next week when he was less busy. However, Leith said he did not want me to head off on a single engine, trotted over to his workshop, returning with his tools and diagnostic gear a few minutes later. A very thorough and systematic exam of the port engine followed as he checked for a fouled raw water intake, fouled water filter, broken impeller, coolant levels, oil pressure, etc. Fortunately, the trouble turned out to be a defective oil pressure sensor, an inexpensive fix. He felt it would be OK for me to use the port engine as long as I checked oil pressure regularly. During the check Leith noticed that another sensor had been cross-threaded upon installation and offered to fix that along with the oil sensor. He also suggested I have a spare water pump impeller on board and will order that as well. His total time for the complete check out was about a half-hour which was what I was billed for. An A+ performance.
