This adorable little garden is located inside the California Nursery Historical Park in the same area as the California Nursery Office. I was delighted to find pathways made up of tiny pebbles, a cute windmill popular for photos, and roses in bloom in late April along with other flowers and succulents, adding color and character to this already lovely park. There was also a grassy field with a small fountain structure at the center, and several picnic tables and benches within the garden, making this an ideal spot to admire the views and nature all around while enjoying lunch. It's free to visit, and parking is easy too, with a huge lot just steps away.

A confusing place to find! Go to the intersection at Niles and Mission Blvd, then drive under the "California Nursery History Park" sign. As you enter, you'll see the rose garden with an arch and a windmill to your right. Very easy to miss! There's no signs.By the time we found the rose garden area, we had walked all over the park and only looked at mustard plants. The roses were all dead in mid-March 2023. Pretty underwhelming. They were not in good condition.

A small, but cute hidden gem in Fremont. Away from the city and full of space!Roses aren't in the best shape, but they are still beautiful! Plenty of shade and picnic tables! And a close by bathroom!!

ENTRY IS FREE!PARKING IS FREE!DIRECTION:=========Please Look for the intersection of Niles Blvd. and Nursery Avenue. There is a big welcome sign of CALIFORNIA NURSERY HISTORICAL PARK. The Niles Rose Garden is in the California Nursery Historical Park.NOTE: Do not get lost by mobile mapping apps. Frankly speaking, I got lost. LOL.EXPERIENCE : ===========First of all, There is no comparison between San Jose Rose garden and Niles Rose garden. Both has its own beauty. It was my first visit at Niles rose garden, but certainly not my last. Initially I was so surprised to see that there is no one in the Rose garden other then me. I would definitely say that this park is hidden gem and one should definitely visit. The Niles rose garden is a very nice little rose garden with a great variety of roses. When you enter in the park first thing you feel is the fragrance of Roses. It's so beautiful. The garden has nice paths to walk, benches for seating, open lawn area, cactus arrangement, long trees, small bridge. This garden has nice combination different themed gardens like a habitat garden, a Japanese style garden and a succulent garden. I saw lots of Squirrels playing around. The main attraction for me is a cute little windmill In the middle of garden. I enjoyed taking pictures of it and it is a great selfie spot too.RECOMMENDATION :================Currently there is some construction work going on so be careful for the parking. The construction staff is very helpful if you ask them they will guide you correctly for where to park your car. They helped me in my last visit.Overall, it was a good experience visiting this place. I found my new place to take beautiful photos. I have attached some of them here.Hope the construction will complete soon so more people can come to enjoy this place.

A very nice little rose garden with a great variety of roses, most very fragrant, in Niles. Great to stop by on a relaxing stroll of downtown Niles. Also has a cute little windmill that you can take a selfie with.

Beautiful scenery on a beautiful day. Such a variety of roses, nice paths, and also benches for seating. Looks like a place where you could have a nice gathering. Definitely a great place for taking photos, but of course just enjoying the beauty of nature. Today was my first visit, but certainly not my last. I think I found my new happy place.

A truly hidden gem. We stumbled upon the rose garden when we first moved to the area, and immediately felt at home. The roses are absolutely beautiful, and the history of the garden is fascinating. Check out the museum! And the windmill! Say hello to the friendly folks that tend to the garden - you can even sign up to be a volunteer! In short - A very special garden where all are welcome!

The Niles Rose Garden is in the California Nursery Historical Park in the Niles District in Fremont. The display gardens of the nursery were filled with daffodils in the spring and with roses in the summer and fall. Today the garden is filled with 400 roses - old and new varieties. The volunteers in the garden take care of the other gardens around the old nursery office - an informal Japanese-style garden, a succulent garden, and a habitat garden. It's a peaceful place to come and walk. When the train whizzes by, you are reminded that Niles was once a station on the Transcontinental railroad. Then the peace returns!

Nothing special. The rose garden was too small. I was disappointed.
