NYF is more than just an athletic club.It is a community.It is a place to go to improve your health, to be sure, but it is also a place to feel welcomed and valued.Shawn and Katie work tirelessly to create an atmosphere that fits the needs of all of their members, and, as such, you can find people working out next to each other who are all ages and fitness levels, and they all feel welcome and comfortable.You can always count on Shawn to be there, among the members, offering assistance, supporting someone's wellness journey, or working out, leading by example.Moreover, the efforts that Shawn and Katie have made to support the community show that they are not only concerned with running an ever evolving business, but also in being advocates for children in need, local sports programs, and the community at large.During both power outages, they opened their doors to members of Amador and Calaveras counties, who needed a safe place to come to get a warm shower and a respite from the stress of having no power or water. All of the above makes me want to both be a member of New York Fitness and to support them as leaders in our business community.Krista Sweet Jackson

Shawn has been very helpful in navigating a challenging situation. He has been communicative and solution oriented. The new space has brand new equipment, and the cardio machines were plentiful.

I've enjoyed every year that I've been a member with New York Fitness from as long as I can remember. NYF has been a great place to unwind from a busy work day or just to have some clarity from cardio or simply hitting some weights. Everyone there from other members to employees are always friendly and welcoming to help in any way. From great machines, a friendly face to a great pump. New York Fitness's got it. Sean and his family are always seeking ways to improve the gym for us and that goes a long way. If you need a "no judgement, come as you are" kinda gym this is definitely one those.

5 stars. Well worth the price for a monthly membership or even a weekly pass if visiting. Great hours. Clean. Friendly/inviting staff. Two large rooms filled with tons of equipment, cardio machines, free weights and weight-lifting machines. Greatly exceeded expectations

Do not use this place they will continue to charge your card after you have met the contract requirements plus the additional hoops they decide to throw in at the end.

Sorry but when they got rid of the pool and hot tub I had to cancel my membership. Also they made me pay for another whole month AFTER I went in to cancel...... they failed to tell me that when I was signing the cancellation form. I did very much enjoy my tai chi classes there.

Moved to Jackson from the city and I was hoping there was a gym out here that would fit my needs. I found everything I needed here! This place has everything I need and more as a powerlifter/bodybuilder. Owner and staff are hella cool and the environment that they create matches (and may be even better) than the gym's I used to go too. I have been a member for a little over a year and I'm happy here! Keep rockin' and keep up the good work!

If I could do zero stars I would. Tried to resolve a billing issue. Asked for manager told not in. Wanted to give me an email. I said no whens she gonna be in. I was told "Its my day off and I'm not looking in the computer to see when she is in, I can give you an email." All the while interrupting me. I said put someone on the phone who can hive me the information. She hung up on me. I called back, they didn't answer. Mind you when I called she recognized my number from when I called before. What kind of business is this? Do not join this business. And the owner supposedly lives out of state.

People are friendly and welcoming, facility is nice, equipment is great. Been going for a year and a half
