took my boat to New Malones fishing on August 25, 2024. I had problems right off the bat ! I had, I thought 2 dead batteries. I was in the water at the Glory Hole Boat ramp. I called New Malones Lake Marina and ask if they had a slip available, if I could get a tow, and if they had battery charge services. Addy answered the phone and gave a positive response on all three requests. I inquired about a price and she gave me a quote. They sent Gabe over and 5owed me to an open slip. We tried starting the inboard/outboard engine to no avail. Gabe told me they would remove the batteries and charge them over night. I said great. The next morning I returned to the marina and Gabe had the batteries charged and loaded on a pontoon boat. Off we went to the slip. Gabe installed the batteries, and stated the batteries are good. We started the engine on one crank of the starter. It was a pleasure doing business with New Malones Lake marina, Addy, and Gabe. They were very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and the services rendered were reasonable in price. I would recommend New Malones Lake Marina to anyone looking to enjoy the lake at its fullest. , the New Malones Lake Marina is the place to satisfy all your needs. They have a retail store, fuel doc, guest slips, rentals for float tubes right up and including house boats. It was a pleasure doing business with https://newmeloneslakemarina.com/

Just got off our week long house boat and we had a wonderful experience. All the employees went over the top to help with whatever we needed. The owner was absolutely incredible, went way above and beyond for us as well. Thank you and this will definitely be our yearly trip

Been coming to the lake for over 20 years with 3-4 other families. No different this year. (July 2024) It's our favorite yearly vacation. We've rented large to medium patio boats for years. We've rented them overnight using them for up to 4 day Monday thru Friday. It was great. However, this year changed. We wanted to rent one for the week again but they were not offering overnight rentals. We could only rent from 9 to 5 being back at the marina by 5. They say it's because of staffing. This was extremely disappointing and made no sense. Staff is not needed for us to pull in later in the evening and dock and return the next morning to take it out again. Explain that. Plus they have told us numerous time that we would get a discount for return customers. I think 20 years of returning means something. They gave no discount after we reminded them of that fact. Bate and switch. We came into the marina several times for things and it was the slowest I've ever seen it. Most patios boats were sitting docked. I wonder why? No one wants to have to get there before 9 to go over the boat checklist just to return at 5. We were willing to rent for the 4 days overnight but we pulled the plug after the one day rental. This is not the lake we are accustomed to. There was little to no customers at the marina and very little people on the the lake in general. Again, very disappointed in their rental policies especially for 20 year return customers.

My review is for our rental for the 4th of July holiday. In early June, my family and I decided to get away for the holiday and the main event being a day on a lake with a boat rental. Considering I have never rented a boat before, and knowing how iffy car rentals are, I was a little hesitant but went ahead and booked a Bennington Pontoon. It was all done on the website. We also added on a tube for some added extra fun. Keep in mind their cancellation policies are extremely strict. Don't book unless you're absolutely certain you'll be able to make it. Needless to say, it was a perfect experience. We arrived around 8:45am and were sailing at about 9:30am. If you want to get every minute of your rental, show up at least 30-60 minutes early. There is a check in process at the shop as well as a quick orientation of the boat. An associate will go over the boat operation as well as take any photos of existing damage. I recommend you do a walk around and point out anything wrong/broken/damaged on the boat. Our boat had a working BBQ, radio and toilet. Keep in mind these are rentals and are used quite often. It won't be a brand new boat and there will be little things here and there. However, I don't think it's anything to complain about considering the pricing is reasonable. Our rental did not include any gas. The boat came with a full tank of gas. Upon return, they refueled to full and charged us for whatever fuel we used. Easy, convenient and fair. The employees were all friendly and helpful. I was dreading dealing with a rental, especially the high cost of a boat any associated parts & maintenance. Thankfully, they made it easy and stress-free for me. The lake itself is gorgeous. The water was warm and fun to play in. The lake is incredibly big so you'll be able to have a decent amount of space for yourself and some privacy. Considering it was a major American holiday, I'm surprised it wasn't busier. If you're looking for some fun time on the water, I highly recommend New Melones Lake Marina. They have plenty of boats to choose from and a beautiful lake to enjoy time with family and friends. The only piece of constructive criticism I can give them is to pave the main walkway from the parking lots to the marina. It's mostly dirt and gravel and is fairly steep. It's great that they have CanAms going up and down shuttling people back & fourth but it would still be good to have pavement for those who want to walk. Can't wait to be back!

Darrin the owner was great !! My daughters and I pulled up to the store by boat to see if it was open but it was not and Darrin let us know they will be opening in a week and asked if we needed anything. We didn't really need anything just like to buy souvenirs and look at all the cool stuff but we asked if they sell tubes to tow behind the boat. And he said yes we do. Moral of the story Darrin and his staff were awesome !!! They allowed us to purchase some souvenirs and a tube for our boat even though they were not opening for another week. Darrin even blew up the tube for us ! My daughters were beyond excited and jumping in joy !! We had a blast !! Thank you

I have to be honest- from the outside, this place doesn't seem to be very welcoming. Walking down the steep hill to the dock, there were vehicles, employees (???) and a bunch of people standing around blocking the dock that appeared to be workers, not visitors enjoying the lake. As we crossed the docks, there were two young men spraying everything down who didn't seem to thrilled we were walking past/in their way. Not a smile, or a hello, or even a response to our "Excuse us" gesture. The lack of initial signage makes you wonder if you're even in the right place. The first house boat you see is in rough shape and appears to be bursting out the seams with junk. Certainly not a good first impression. We sorta felt like trespassers until we entered the shop. Once you're in the shop, it's a completely different feel. More customer service oriented cute jewelry and other souvenirs, snacks, and more chipper employees. I found the shop to be clean, modern, and welcoming. It was refreshing to step into a temperature controlled environment for a minute and shop around. We didn't rent a boat as we arrived a bit late in the day, but gathered information for considering it next time. I look forward to updating this review after getting the full experience.

Stopped in the marina while we were camping and jet skiing for the weekend. This review is what I personally saw.Parking - plenty of it. However I would recommend dropping someone off to grab a courtesy cart to get all your gear down to the docks first. The ramp down to the marina - Yes it is there, yes it has a steep grade but my wife had plantar-facitis and didn't complain and just dealt with it.Staff - Super friendly considering the amount of people and chaos going on. As for a prior posters statement on the "karen racist"...I saw no evidence of this so maybe California is just not her thing.Pet friendly- Yep, we had our Cane Corso down there and got no grief. Be forewarned, the parking lot, ramp and aluminum decking is hot so protect your critters feet! We parked our right in front of the giant misting fan and she was quite happy.Rentals - I can't speak for these as we have our own water toys but we did take a look at the ones on the lake and they vary in size and type. All were water worthy and to be honest, they are rentals and people use and abuse things that they personally don't own. So don't expect them to be new off the showroom floor condition. So just have a beer, enjoy the sights and catch some rays!Food & Goods - They were pretty well stocked with drinks, snacks, t-shirts, flip-flops, hats, etc. Just don't come with the expectation that you can do your weekly grocery shopping here. All in all this was a nice, busy facility. If I ever decide to rent a houseboat I will certainly consider doing so here.

Rented a 56' Deluxe XL recently with some friends in celebrating my graduation. I have nothing but good things to say about this company. I was a little bit skeptical at first being unfamiliar with the rental area. Booked it 6 months in advance and my rental process was really easy. I could understand why some folks on here would get upset not starting their boat on time at 9am, but there was a lot going on for them as well checking in other boats, etc. in other words, come early. If you plan to leave at 9am, be at the rental a little bit before 8am. It worked out well for my party because not everyone was on time so we weren't able to sail at 9am (which wasn't the company's problem) they even told us we could sail out first and have my friends meet at the dock and they would drive them out to meet us on the boat. Another thing I would like to mention is that the company provided drivers to pick us up from the parking lot above the hill which was complimentary. Most of these workers are probably high school and college students working during their summer break to earn some money. Please treat them with kindness! Lastly, there was a little hiccup because the reservation that was originally under the cardholder weren't able to come. I was a bit stressed out at first but they were able to accommodate me and the last minute changes. Would totally recommend coming here again :)
