Nena's Restaurant

My wife and I have been eating at Nenas for three years now and we ALWAYS forget to take photos of our food thats how good it is we devour immediately.Huge Handmade fresh corn/flour tortillas everyday! Services is always great no matter how busy they are and I've also ordered through DoorDash and the quality does not change continues being great.The restaurant has a pleasant chill ambiance, local people just getting out of work looking for a warm home cooked meal Nenas is the place.

A little gem of a Mexican restaurant in the south side of Stockton. The recipes are of a older style reminiscent of restaurants in inland Mexico. The restaurant is always busy for lunch making the service a little slow.

The food is always good, ive been here several times a week when im not busy and i have always seen the same crew, which is great. I know the chef makes everything i like well and i couldnt ask for better tortillas. I normally get a large order of tortillas, and the chile verde, plus margaritas and share. I cant thank Nenas enough for the welcoming environment they provide. I dont speak spanish very well, but i have always felt welcome and comfortable here. I recommend the chilequiles as well.

Called in an order for pick up mid day. Fast and easy process. Plenty of parking. Restaurant was empty with plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. Ordered 2 crunchy tacos to go. Portion was pretty big. Flavor was just average. 2 crunchy tacos were $9 and some change.

Definitely recommend! The food quality here is consistently delicious! Everything we have tried is good! You get fresh made by hand tortillas with every meal. Their horchata tastes amazing, not made from powder. Recently we tried the fajitas and a combo plate with a sope and green enchilada. We will be back for more! It is always very clean aswell.Negatives: in the past they had issues with the service being slow but I think it was due to staff shortages during covid times but this time service was great and food came out relatively quickly.

Visited this establishment for the first time and the owner's son/owner was wearing a MAGA hat. Interesting considering the location and the demographics of majority of the customers. Got menudo, 5/10. The homemade tortillas are the best part of the restaurant, everything else is mid. Won't be returning again due to the average food and political atmosphere/ambiance.

I loved the live music on Sunday night. Loved their tortillas. I ordered their mixed fajitas: chicken, beef, and shrimp. Happy that the plate was abundantly served. I was quickly disappointed. All three meats were hard, dry and bland and or flavorless. So disappointed. Never going back. I erased the picture I took of my fajitas. Also I believe it could be a little cleaner..I want to say more negative info about my experience but I think I will just stop now...They really need to step it up in customer service, quality of food and more clean.

Food is very delicious and the service was great! A great restaurant to come alone for lunch or even for gatherings. Definitely will be back soon :)

I've been going to this authentic Mexican restaurant for many years. The food is incredible, the staff is like family, and it feels like home. It's a place I always enjoy dining at. My favorites are Milanesa Con Salsa verde, Chile Colorado, Tampiquena and much more my son loooves their enchiladas!! They also have fresh handmade tortillas that get me every time. I highly recommend Nena's Restaurant.
