So happy we found this place. Hands down the best Mexican food I've ever had in Stockton. Our waitress was great, the ambiance was great. The mariachi band was super good. Definitely recommend coming here. This for sure our new go to spot.

I ordered the Chile Verde and it was VERY salty and this was eating it with the tortillas. The pieces of pork were also so dry. I was taking a sip of water after every bite. My dad had the Steak Ranchero he said even that was salty. 3/5 stars because they make their tortillas from scratch and by hand but the food is sooooo salty. I really did want to love this place since it's been around for so long. :/Edit: I'm seeing reviews from over the years of people saying that the food is and has been salty so I guess no improvements were made. Content?

I have been here on multiple occasions mostly on weekdays and the service has always been great and the food is really good. I went on a weekend where it is normally super busy and packed. Unfortunately they are not as attentive and they do end up missing some orders or the quality isn't as good. I love the location though since it's by the water and they have live music. Parking can be difficult especially on weekends but this is a nice weekday lunch or dinner out. The portions are hefty although i'm not a fan of the slices of tomatoes just on there lol.

My taco salad with grilled chicken was very good! I did have to send a round of chips back because they tasted stale. Other than that. The service was great and I will return. There was a live band playing which was slightly loud.

Nena's has great ambiance. Chips and salsa were yummy. Their salsa is spicy and not chunky so I loved it. The queso fundido with chorizo was mild and yummy the downside is that the order comes with only one flour tortilla to share with your entire party. Hand made tortillas are nice as they are fresh but flavor is bland. Our server was not very pleasant....maybe she was just having a bad day though.

This place is amazing!!!! I ordered the chile Colorado. Came with home made tortillas either corn or flour. I got flour a a they were delicious. It's a very nice place , open area with televisions. The staff were really nice, friendly and were always coming to the table to ask if we needed something. This is authentic Mexican food and very very delicious!!

The food is amazing. The service was impeccable. Sonia was amazing and very patient. The person who was assisting her was awesome as well. This place was so busy and although we waited for 45 minutes it was worth the wait. Sonia was running around, waiting on three or more of the tables, and still was able to honor our request. So thank you for her.We love this place, been here several times. We got to hear the mariachi band, which was amazing. Omg the burrito was so amazing. Now i have lunch for tomorrow. The only request would be for the food to be hotter in temperature. It wasn't hot enough.I will be back with others.

I've had a LOT of Mexican food in my life and I have to say this place has the #1 BEST flour tortillas I've ever had in life.... Not to mention it's made on the spot! Don't get your hopes up as you can't buy them separately (trust me I asked). Don't mind my pictures as literally all the food was so good that we ate it before we could take good photos. But that could be because the service is very bad and the only reason they get a 4/5 versus a 5/5 . My waiter didn't speak English (which is fine, but I don't speak Spanish) so he had to eventually get someone else to help us. Then the food took a very long time, BUT well worth the wait! This is a relatively large restaurant too sitting nicely near the water with plenty seats but they do get super busy!
