This park is pretty tucked away. We typically end up walking through when we're going on one of our longer walks. The park itself is ok, it has space to run around in, enjoy a meal or small get together and some green space. We often see people playing with their dogs here. It does get really hot this way during the summer and after rain it's pretty muddy. Having recently been interested in walking, jogging and bike trails, I had a opportunity to visit Natomas Oaks Park in Sacramento. The park is 13.24 acres in size and is part of the City Of Sacramento Department Of Parks and Recreation. Open from sunrise to sunset every day , no alcohol allowed in the park. One side of the park has a 20 car parking lot, open play area, covered picnic tables , BBQ, walking trail and a bathroom. I would give this side of the park 3 Stars for its overall amenities and cleanliness. The other section of the park (Heritage Oaks Preserve) contains a quarter mile walking trail winding through majestic oak trees some beings as old as 350 years ! Educational material posted throughout the trail. This part of the trail is made of dirt and gravel and is not maintained. Picnic tables along the trail are all filthy and trashed. No fires of any kind allowed in this section of the park. "Beware" gopher holes throughout park and trail !
