Great place to be outdoors, including many flat walking/bike trails, Glass beach section was a bit disappointing but good for bird and wildlufe watching. Parking lot has a porta potty. Would visit again.

Such a pretty and calm trail right around the corner from home. I was nervous to come out because I loathe mosquitoes and gnats but surprisingly clear air for being so close to the water. Will definitely make this a regular weekly wind down.Added plus, great flat roads, perfect for my 7 & 6 year old to bike.

A super chill low impact hike about 3 miles total. It's wild geese, swans, Red Robin's so many beautiful animals. The spring blossoms are absolutely stunning. The people are friendly and they have a circuit training area. It's beautiful in cold and hot weather. You see anything from ghost to double rainbows. It's a great way to start or end the day.. Celebrated Earth Day

I found Gratitude Point accidentally on Google Maps and decided to go find it even though I was nowhere near it and was unaware what it looked like. I soon discovered it was part of this wetland trail network which was built around old commercial ponds long since abandoned. Like many such wide open areas around the bay, a lot of birds are attracted to the residue salt and that's the chief appeal about the landfill around the Napa River.Otherwise the four-plus miles of trails get somewhat monotonous with occasional sightings of cows and abandoned boats. At least the cows are not on the boats. Definitely go see the glass Beach because it's not overly picked over like the one up in Fort Bragg. I think like most visitors, I started at Wetlands Edge Park where there's a good size lot after navigating through a lot of suburbia in American Canyon. By the way, I did find Gratitude Point and gave pause to feeling grateful. Best thirty seconds of the walk.RELATED - Up for a hike? Here's a collection of trails I've walked and reviewed: https://bit.ly/3C7msx8

We parked at the parking lot at Wetlands Edge. Next to it is a new outside fitness center (we didn't have time to try it). We went there to ride bikes--and what fun we had! There are nice flat, wide trails along the water's edge. This is a great place to hike with the kids or walk a dog.If you like taking pictures--bring your camera. I kept having to stop my bike, turn on my (phone) camera, and snap these amazing pictures! There are so many expansive views to admire. The San Francisco Bay Trail goes through here--which boasts over 500 miles of trails in nine counties. Even though the trail hugs the edge of the city of American Canyon it can seem like you are far from the urban bustle.Bodies of water attract birds and other critters. We saw baby osprey peeping over the edge of their high nest; a swan (someone told us he had seen as many as 50 at another time), and red-winged black birds--to name a few. Bring your binoculars and your bird book if you like to watch birds. On this April day, it was in the 80s in Vacaville, and when the sun was getting low in the sky along the Napa River, it cooled down to the mid-50s. I was freezing my booty off wearing shorts and a light windbreaker. If you go there later in the day, consider bringing layers.

I've heard a lot about this infamous glass beach. Though I was a bit disappointed as the glass beach was just a small section of the whole trail, I was happy to finally see it in person. There is a parking lot right by the outdoor exercise equipments and you can walk straight down the trial. I wish there were more signs to help guide us, but it looks like there are multiple trials that will eventually lead you to the glass beach. That's a good thing because you don't have to bump into so many people during your walk/run. Keep in mind that there are little to zero shade, so it is highly recommended to wear a hat!

Excellent Trail with Beautiful Views of the Napa River. I love coming to this trail. My favorite time to come is in the evening when the sun is starting to go down, you'll get a great workout/walk and be rewarded with a beautiful sunset! It can get cold in the evening, bring a jacket! Some of the trails are paved and others just have dirt or gravel; either way, signs make it very easy to stay on the trails. This is truly a gem in American Canyon.

Beautiful place to watch the sunset. I planned a sunset picnic for my boyfriend and I and it was an absolutely beautiful place to watch the sunset. They had tables set up as well so it was super convenient for us to eat. Will definitely be going back!!

This was an unexpected surprise for a somewhat paved/gravel trail option after it rained. Glass beach is a must see & kept my boys entertained for a while. Nice option for the American Canyon area for some time outdoors & exercise. Highly recommend!
