How do you claim the most technologically sophisticated, easiest to hit clubs in every category when you make different models in the same category? Seems like a bit of over selling. How do you claim an amazing fitting process and customer service when you don't even answer the phone at two of the locations listed on your website? I like the heads and have been trying to buy two of them for almost a week. The process, for me, involves driving two hours one way, paying for a fitting, and then paying a big price for equipment that, on eBay, has very poor re-sale value. Again, the wood heads are very good (I tried one from a friend), but the big price combined with the non-existent Rolls Royce fitting process and customer service make me wonder.

The custom fitting experience is incredible. They are so knowledgeable and have the right equipment to show you exactly what fits you. I have never met anyone who knows more about fitting clubs to a player. The driver I ended up with gave me 25 extra yards and I refer anyone who asks me how I did it. My husband also went recently and loves his new Nakashima driver, irons and wedges. He got custom fit by them and he has never been happier with his equipment. If you've never experienced swinging a golf club that is custom fit to you, you are missing out. It's worth every penny.

I drove 2 hours just to be fitted for a driver. I told them I did not want to spend more than $1000 for a club. After a couple hours of hitting and trying different clubs he told me the club best for me was over $1100. I offered $1000 and he said no. I am glad he did because I went to another fitter and was fitted for a driver for the ping head driver I had. We tried several different shafts. We finally found a perfect shaft for my ping driver and was only charged $150. Nakashima is OK put highly over priced.

Jason and John are absolute perfectionists when it comes to making sure a player receives the best (in my case it is a driver) combination of shaft, head and grip to maximize the physical abilities of each individual golfer. And Nakashima's customer service is second to none. I am an avid golfer and bought my first Nakashima driver 5 or 6 years ago. Decided it was time for a checkup and to see what the "latest" technology can deliver and visited the Stockton Studio. After testing my original driver, which still worked pretty well, I moved on to the "latest" and found more distance and more accuracy. Would suggest any serious golfer should take the opportunity to visit Nakashima and let Jason and John prescribe the proper combination of head, loft, shaft flex and weight, grip etc. and then compare the results with their current driver. I saw the mediocre rating on Yelp and feel compelled to relate my experience. First, I'm an avid golfer with a single digit index. I've done my homework and been fit for clubs several times. Jason is the most knowledgeable fitter I've worked with. He spent 3 hours with me and I bought Driver & 5i - 9i. After 3 months with the driver he changed the head because I made a swing change, at no cost.Great clubs, good guarantee. These are high end clubs, custom fit and built for you. They are not inexpensive but they are a good value. Today I sent Jason an email to set up an appointment to complete my set. He replied in less than an hour.I have confidence in these clubs. If Jason fits you and you can't hit them well, look in the mirror to see the reason why.

Having written a poor review before. However, I must now give them credit for wanting and continuing to get the process right. After a lengthy process, I am on the right track to getting a driver which I paid for and will help my golf game. Jason works very hard and I believe he is sincerely interested in getting it right.

I think you need to read through the lines on some of these reviews. Nakashima has a guarantee that they will re-fit you until you're optimized, that does not mean that you get your money back if you don't like the product after you've ordered it and had it built for you. A club can only be optimized to your swing and launch conditions if you don't have a "swing" then your results are going to be poor regardless of equipment. I'm a low handicap player and am impressed with their operation. If you've figured out how to make center contact and are now learning to score, take advantage of being optimized. Driver shaft can be a game changer and Nakashima has every shaft made available for you to check on a monitor. Their heads are classic and clean designs for the discriminate player.

Scam. Bought clubs here and they tried to change your swing to look good on Golf monitor. Many golfers complained with no return policy because nakashima clubs do not deliver on golf course. I paid $1000 for the club that started to loss every tournament we had because they advised to change your swing. Don't buy clubs here. We switched back to Old R11 taylormade and my kid started winning again. Also, the Nakashima club is always loose screw on driver or hybrid we have to tighten up on tournament. Bad quality clubs and scam price. Don't buy here.

I purchased a driver which Jason fit at Silverado. Far superior to the TM I was playing. After playing with it for 2 months, the new driver was good but not quite perfect. So Jason invited me down to Stockton to do a follow up fitting. Switched out the head and shaft after trying many configurations and spent 3 hours with me. I love the new combo. And at no additional charge. I am a 4 handicap and have worked with a number of fitters and found Jason really knowledgable and professional. I also picked up a new hybrid which is awesome and added about 30 yards on that club. These guys are good, they stand behind their products and offer great service.
