Moore's Martial Arts & Yoga Dojo

They are a great studio for kids. Small groups for teaching which is great for kids new to karate. It is pricey, but worth the cost to have personalized, quality instruction.

We had a terrible experience at this place. They used our debit card info to pull money out of our account at their leisure. At first it was a duplicate charge, then it was a bunch of excuses for little extra charges, so we decided to cancel our membership which was on a month-to-month contract that supposedly had credit owed to us. Instead of giving us the money they owed they offered a free month if we ever came back. We decided just to drop the issue and move on. But then this month they charged us $196! We aren't even members of their school anymore, and they owed US money! What makes it even more shady is the fact that it wasn't my card on our joint checking account that was charged, it was my fiance's card even though mine was the card that had been paying our membership dues each month. So there's zero chance that they had done this on accident from some mistaken auto-pay incident. My fiance went in to Moore's to try to sort it out. The owner was rude and dismissive, and even had a confrontational air about him as though he wanted to pick a fight. His wife, Kim never called us about this issue, as her husband said she would. We waited another day and then reported this fraud to our bank. If you're a member at this school, I urge you to check your bank statements thoroughly and question every charge from Moore's that you aren't sure about because if it happened to us in a short time I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't a regular thing they're doing to members, hoping they won't notice and playing dumb when they do. Don't believe it when Kim tells you her hubby is clumsy with the keyboard and computer illiterate. If that were simply the case he would've been more apologetic and accommodating when this was brought to his attention, rather than defensive and rude. He knew what he was doing.

Awesome place to learn and grow. You learn skills, confidence, discipline, honor, balance, respect, determination and more. There is a great family atmosphere. They mentor and guide children to be the best they can be. If you are looking for s place to send your kids. Check out Moore's.

I've been training here for about six years or so. A good friend of mine convinced me to join and I'm sure glad I did. I've learned a lot from the teachers here. The best part for me is the more I learn, the more I realize how much more there is to know. You never stop learning and improving. The owners are great people and they take great pride in what they teach. If you want to learn an art that will challenge your body, mind and spirit this is the place to do it.

Moore's Chinese Martial Arts on Pacific Ave in Stockton, California.Two of my children come here. My son for about a year and a half and my daughter for about six months. A very good place to learn Shou Shu martial arts.My son obtained the Green belt here after a few years. He had a blast coming here. My youngest daughter became a yellow belt. My kids used to come Monday through Friday for about 90 minutes or so. Once in a while they would come on Saturdays. If they ever want to get back in the Martial Arts, this is where I'll bring them.We had a really great time here at Moore's. Vincent D aka VD aka Vebola aka Vincent Vega. Yoga Dojo is adjacent & affiliated with Moore's Martial Arts. It is a great friendly studio while maintaining the serenity that you would want in a yoga environment. It aesthetically pleasing to the eye & soothing. The owner has multiple levels of certifications from the White Lotus Flo - Foundation, which promotes healthy lifestyle choices as well as promoting a healthy mind, body & spirit within. Not only does the instructor have multiple certifications of various types of yoga she also has certification in Thai Massage, which is quite different than the traditional massage - if you like massages, give it a try! If you're looking for this type of environment Yoga Dojo is the place for you!PS: Although Yogo Dojo is geared for adults because it is affiliated with Moore's it's quite convenient if you have kids who are interested in a Martial Arts program. You can enjoy the Yoga while the kids enjoy their class!

I was looking for a real martial art /MMA place so my son could learn to defend him self and feel confident we went to alot of places in Stockton but I was not impressed until we came down to Moore's I felt there techniques are real world and they can actually work in a fight or attack from one or multiple people attacking you also the instructors have a great attitude and patience but also give you the push you need to succeed . This is my sons second year at Moore's and has earned his blue belt we will continue going because my son loves this place and looks forward on getting his black belt one day I recommend this place 100% .

What an incredible experience and opportunity to be able to be involved with the Stockton Moore's community. Moore's Shou Shu is the best martial art style I have ever tried and I've tried a lot over the years. I am a long time student now and Shou Shu is the style I have chosen to stay with. The staff is amazing, knowledgeable, and friendly who cares about their students and families. The instructors not only teach self-defense, but the lessons that you will learn can be used in all areas of your life.

Great school, teachers really know their stuff. Good classes for kids and adults alike. The yoga studio is a great addition for some relaxation, the weekend classes are great. Highly recommend.

Moore's karate is a wonderful dojo. My kids 5 & 3 years old have learn more than self defense they have also learned respect and integrity. I highly recommend Moore's karate and their wonderful teachers!!
