Modesto Reservoir Regional Park

The entire experience was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful the spot we had couldn't have been any better and we were in short walking distance to the bathrooms which stayed clean that's an extra plus. My family and I will definitely be back as soon as we can.

I absolutely hated it here! I went to a birthday party here and they rented a covered section that had a bunch of tables and bbqs. You have to pay to get in . When we got to the party there was so many spiders. . Right away my daughter's friends mom pulled one out of my hair. I was freaking out! She said you think this is bad you should have seen this morning. There was so many we had to go buy a bunch of cans of raid . While I was at party I just was watching them drop from the roof . All different sizes and colors. And there was a large amount of red ants on the ground. I went in the water for a minute and it was super slimy and gross. I would never want to go back here .

If I could leave this place 0 stars I would. I am an avid camper and I'd rather camp in the middle of nowhere than here. There was rave music blasting all evening till 2:30 the time which I am writing this review. There is not security so cars are constantly driving in and out. Of the gate. As for the park. I drove 2.5 hours to be here. Two hours in the other directions I could be by the ocean or any other place than here. The geese squawk all nights as well. There is goose poop everywhere you step and it's also smells like goose poop. I still haven't seen the lou. It's a hold in the ground. I'd rather pee in my tent. I should have brought my toilet for all that. We stayed at the group site. I'm considering leaving early. And now there are sounds of a woman screaming bloody murder. I hope she is alright. Ok folk good night.

We rented a jet ski for the day and had a blast with family and friends at the lake! Pretty clean, but knocking off one star because there are HELLA spiders especially in the morning. The beach area is great with clean water and sand for the kids to play, and the bathrooms aren't terrible. Just bring bug spray y'all

If you are not from Modesto it is $20 to spend the day here. I typically come on a weekday but we sit right by or on the water. There are picnic tables by each little beach cove but it's a nice spot to come hang in the water. We bring coolers with some drinks and snacks, very calming and perfect place to relax.

Loved our lake day at the Res!The line wasn't too terrible getting in, and there were plenty of spots to set up. The water was perfect and all our picnic neighbors very respectful. The bathroom facilities were nice and clean for a 3pm start to our day. Each campsite has a grill and trash cans available as well.Mist visit to escape the ocean wind and cooler weather of the beach!P.S. they are currently only allowing Stanislaus County residents in so call first if you're from out of town.

If you're dry camping in the undeveloped areas, you get the peace and serenity you are looking for whilst camping.

loud music from 8am until after midnight, garbage laying around, toilets very dirty.The lake and the campground are beautiful but the campers there are terrible.

I called to ask how to make a reservation for camping. staff was very rude and laughed at my question. was very unprofessional and didn't answer any of my questions and left me very confused on what she even responded with

We love the amenities at Modesto Reservoir for RV camping. ie., water and electrical hookups. Many sites are close to the water, place is clean in general. However, As other reviewers stated big groups of campers seem to think they can drink, party and blast their music til the wee hours (way beyond 10pm quiet time) and ruin it for everyone else. They have no regard for park rules and quiet times. I wish I could say it was a one time issue but it happens every time we have camped here so far. We keep going back to see if maybe last time was just unlucky. Well its been 3 out of 3 times and this park definately does not enforce quiet time after 10pm.
