Modesto Academy of Music & Design

Sent my boys (6&8) for their "build a paper rollercoaster" over the summer. They loved it. The staff was so patient and wonderful... it was creative- has them use their minds and is just a great feel. We will definitely be back!

My children looooved attending this place. They took the Lego engineering class and can't wait to go back. Unfortunately we missed a deadline to sign up for the next class but in 2 months there will be another. Everyone is so kind and helpful. My kids loved that they had a teenage teacher. He was super smart and soooo good with the children. Such an amazing place to take the kiddos to learn and have fun. Thank you everyone at the academy you're doing an amazing job.

Walking into this place was such a refreshing surprise! Very professional location and staff. I am looking forward to exploring more of the classes through the years. Definitely a hidden treasure in the Modesto area!

I was told that I needed to pay ahead for lessons for my daughter. I paid ahead for lessons in June and I paid ahead for lessons in July. I had to specify to the officer/accounts person twice that I only wanted lessons for my daughter for June, to the end of July. July's bill states July, 5 lessons for a total of $108. and this is what I paid, $108. I received an email that the instructor would be out for two days in July so my daughter saw her instructor for 4 lessons in July. My daughter was done at the end of July and our business was concluded with this company because we had already paid ahead. At least until I received an email today almost 7 months later that indicated that I owed them $27. for July 29th. I called them and spoke to I believe the office manager. She didn't seem to understand that I paid ahead for these classes. My last bill for July stated I owed $108. and that is what I paid ahead of time. Yet the lady was not understanding this and said she would have to talk to the Director. She then asked who my daughter's instuctor was. According to Kortney they were going through their paperwork and found that I owe $27. and wanted to know when I would be able to pay it. This seems very disorganized and I won't be going back.

This place is great. They have classes for everything you can think of. If you want your kids to have great instructors and be in a place to love learning, then sign up for classes here.

My daughter attended the art class and she loves it. It is pretty pricey for art class for 5 year old, but I'm glad we gave it a try. She loved her teacher, she said she was really helpful and patient and my daughter learned new things each day. The art work she brought home are awesome! We're so proud of every work she did.

Mrs. Tallman and her team at the Modesto Academy are exceptional teachers. I took music lessons from Mrs. Tallman for ten years. I feel that her instruction in music greatly contributed to my academic success and overall happiness. Even now as a busy attorney in California, I still challenge myself musically and try to continue building upon what Mrs. Tallman has taught me. She is extremely professional, patient, and down-to-earth. When I had recitals, I remember being proud that she was my instructor as opposed to the other ones out there. Whenever I interact with other musicians, I realize how well she has taught me when I am able pass on her teachings. I highly recommend Mrs. Tallman and the Modesto Academy of Music & Design for anyone who is interested in learning music.

My son has been taking private piano lessons here for about 6 months. He is learning so much and enjoying himself. Mrs. Tallman is his instructor and she is great with him. The front office staff is pleasant and helpful. We will continue here!

This place is great! Fun instruction for all ages. Classes in art, robotics, computer graphics, computer programming, and music. They offer private and group lessons for many instruments, and voice, as well. They even offered a LEGO Pre-engineering class this summer for 6-8 year olds. Great instructors and terrific classes!
