Like always for what I believe the past 40+ years, J. Milano provides the best service and premium products at reasonable prices. Speaking to Kevin, I found out J.Milano does a great deal of business with Harley riders and boat owners because Milano provides high quality parts at very reasonable prices. It's refreshing to know that I can buy just one bolt for my needs rather than ten at another business. Plus the product I buy is durable stainless steel vs. some foreign low quality metal. My family has done business with the Milano company for many many years.

I called this company on a Friday afternoon to find out if they could thread 2.5 inch pipe. I spoke with someone that said they could. I asked if they were open on Saturday and was told they were not. At this point the person told me that they close at 4:30 that afternoon. I told him that I would be there before they close with four six foot pipes. He said fine. I carefully loaded these four pipes in our nearly new car so we could leave as soon as my wife got home from work. My wife got home and we left right away arriving at J Milanos at 3:55. I stood in line and got to the counter at 4:00, and was told that they stopped threading pipe at 4:00. I understand they close in a half an hour, but it doesn't take a half an hour to thread four pipes. The person on the phone never told me anything about this policy. Had I known I would have left the house immediately because this project is very important to me. I have a welder scheduled for the following day and he can do nothing without these pipes in place. This has delayed my entire project one week, and I drove 30 miles to this place and 30 miles back for nothing. I'll be searching for someone else to do this pipe threading on Saturday so I can possibly stay on schedule. I found no one to thread my pipe on Saturday, so Monday I return to J Milanos to get this job done. I was surprised to find that they charge fifteen dollars per thread. When I worked for ACE 20 years ago we charged fifty cents per thread. This operation takes less than one minute per pipe. Incredablly expensive but what can I do. When I got to the area where the threader was, there was no one that knew how to work the machine. While the employee went to find someone, I picked up the proper die, slipped it into the machine, grabbed a wrench and adjusted it to the proper size. The employee came back with someone that also didn't know how to work the machine. He left again and while he was gone I slipped my pipe into the machine and locked it in place. I was thinking I was going to have to thread my own pipe, but finally Mr R showed up and knew exactly what to do. He threaded my pipes and then bagged them so they wouldn't leak oil in my car. This was the only pleasant part of my experience with this place.

They have almost anything you could imagine in almost every size. It's my #1 stop. The prices are also very fair considering the availability and selection.

This place is amazing. It doesn't really look that big from the outside looking in, but it is a man's candy store. I've never seen a non-chain hardware store carry so much merchandise, and provide so many services. It's a must to check out.

Excellent customer service! That's always written but at Milano's it's more than just written down words or a catchphrase. They make you feel welcome, that your needs are important. I've ran into my fair share of old grumps in hardware stores. Not once have I ever been treated poorly at this business. Their selection of products is huge and if they don't carry it?? They'll find out who does!!! Immediately!
