Mikami Vineyards

I am a bit of a wine snob. I admit it. That said I am also honest about wine, it's an art form and those who can craft it well? Artists. After our last trip to Italy I was on a pretty big high. I landed softly with ;several; beautiful bottles From Mikami. It's subtle, complex, it unfolds over the life of each pour with such grace. It's wonderful. You can tell Jason not only has a deep love and understanding of the art form but a deep respect for his ancestors and the journey they put him on. I would put Mikami on any table next to any wine in the industry. Thank you for sharing Jason. One addendum... a star rating doesn't seem to fit here so... ! An addendum to my addendum! I realized after I posted this it did not allow emojis in the review so I had put five bunches of grapes as a rating instead of the stars, however they edited that part out so it made that last sentence seem a bit nonsensical

I just had an opportunity to taste their 2017 Petite Syrah and it was delicious! Beautiful fruit on the nose and a really nice vanilla finish. So good that it was awarded a gold medal by the SF Chronicle. You need to join their newsletter group to purchase their wine. I just joined, and Jason Mikami has been a great communicator in answering my questions. Looking forward to having some Petite on hand.

Their wine is amazing!! In my opinion, they truly care about producing quality wines! I had their Zinfandel and Petite syrah; both are equally amazing for different reasons.Please go to their website and check them out.

The best Zinfandel I have tasted but sadly can't find any to purchase. Let me know if I can find any where I can purchase. Lucky enough to get introduced to this outstanding wine. Just joined the mailing list.
