McKay's Taphouse & Beer Garden

Love this reliable beer garden! The garden in the back is beautiful, intimate, and well kept, with outdoor heaters. The service is very friendly and quick (at least for drinks). Love their sour beer. What a fantastic ambiance and we will definitely come back soon!

I think Mcakays is super charming and adorable. We had a co worker farewell gathering here and it was a good time. It gives cozy backyard vibes. I don't think it'd be my first choice for a beer garden but I enjoyed my time there! People were friendly, food coming out was a bit ok the slower side but understandable for how many people were there and the size of their kitchen.My chicken Banh mi was tasty and I liked the chips it came with--it had some herby flavoring to it. I think I spent a little over 30 bucks for the sandwich and beer which I feel is a bit high for the quality of it.

It is a self service brewery. Great ambiance and moderate beer selection and what ever the beers on the menu can be sampled. Plenty of heaters next to the tables and does not feel cold. Food is not that great, we ordered wings and curry chicken flat bread everything is under seasoned.

My late husband and I loved this place when we lived in CA. Highly recommend and get the pretzel

First time here! The California heatwave had us sweating and we wanted some good food and cute vibes - we saw this was nearby the area we wanted to hang around, and it didn't disappoint at all!! It was super cute right when we walked in and had a really nice patio with fans running too to beat the heat. The drinks were yummy, we got a Paloma and the punker up sour (blueberry and pomegranate, so good) and the Mac and cheese dippers which were absolutely delicious. Service was very nice, drinks came out instantly and they brought the food to our table! I want to come back when I'm not melting so I can enjoy more things and take in more of the ambiance!

After having dinner across the street, we wanted to keep visiting with our friends so the 11 out of 13 of us went to McKay's. There was live music being played in the outdoor patio and a friendly crowd sitting around enjoying it. We managed to park ourselves at two picnic benches until some others left, then we mostly gathered once again. Eight can sit comfortably at a table, ten uncomfortably. There were heaters strategically placed. Service was at the bar. A large monitor shows the beers available, separated by type. Another menu shows munchies and coffees. There were probably other signs as well, but I wasn't paying that close attention. I do that another time. The atmosphere was pretty chill. As a group, we probably didn't even have a drink per person. Yet, no one bothered us, only coming by to pick up empty glasses. Quality of food unknown. For all it's worth, all the plates we noticed were empty. We don't really drink much so it's unlikely that we would come by for food. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't give them a try.

I don't mind splurging on a salad that costs around the same as a typical meal. Especially when you throw on extras like tri-tip. I understand, I get what I pay for. Today, was not that day. Wedge salad $14.00Tri-tip add on $5.50Total after tax and tip: $25 (because the person that took my order was very sweet and helpful) Unfortunately I was not able to review the salad itself. While waiting for the salad to be prepared, I saw the cook wipe his nose with his hand, and then begin to reach for the iceberg wedge that was on the cutting board. He saw me looking, stepped out of view for about 7 seconds and reappeared with a wet hand that was once preciously used to wipe a nose. Can't speak to whether or not he used soap and/or warm water on the hand, but I know how long it takes me to wash my hands properly. And 7 seconds ain't it. I didn't have the heart to say anything, I know, I should have spoken up. But didn't have the heart to go down that path. So I ran to Yelp instead. Oh don't forget look at the pictures of my wedge salad with tri-tip.

FIrst time visitor. Came here with some friends. Vibe is great. They have a lot of vegetarian me u options. I really liked the halloumi sandwich. The bread was so good and the seasonings were good. The. hips on our queso dip felt like "end of the bag" as they where very broken. The dip itself did not felt home made but it was good. Beer and cider where good.

Perfect spot even in the rain. Back patio is fully covered and has heaters. Great beer selection and chili was perfect match.c

I visited this taphouse recently, and I have to share a troubling experience that overshadowed the night. As we were leaving, my friend and I were approached by the owner, who physically grabbed her and accused her of breaking rules for having her drink as we left. We had just come from several other bars where this was perfectly fine.What struck us was not just the aggressive behavior, but the feeling that there was a deeper issue at play. The owner's demeanor felt unprovoked and hostile, leaving us questioning the intent behind their actions. We left feeling disrespected and uncomfortable, which is not what you want from a night out.I understand that rules are rules, but the way we were treated was unacceptable. I can't recommend this place based on our experience. There are plenty of other bars in the area that treat their customers with respect.
