Mavis Stouffer Park

We love this park, easy tree shrouded trails to the river where you can swim or just sit in the river. When the water is low it only comes up to your knees in most places and deep areas up to your waist. This part of the river is mostly sandy instead of rocky. The city keeps the park well maintained and there appears to a community center along with public restrooms, a butterfly garden, a large gazebo area and a volleyball area. Went on Labor Day and was surprised there were no crowds, especially since there is no entrance fee. You can either park in the park and walk to the river or you can park in a city parking area with paved trails leading towards the river. No BBQ grills or tables near the river but they do have lots of garbage bins so bring your dog, camp chairs and a picnic basket and soak in the natural beauty.

Pit stop. City of Ripon. Large park. Butterfly park. Didn't see any butterflies. Medium park area. Nice to walk around

Pretty nice park, spacious, nice little inclines and hills. Beautiful trees and a nice sports area. Great for my baby to look at nature.

Came here to have our lunch. It is nice! Very serene! Safe and clean.Even better, they have an area called the butterfly garden and it makes the park even nicer! Just very calm and nice!Highly recommended!

Well this is a hidden gem, large parking lot and grassy area great for mini hikes or photos, volleyball etc

I love this park. Great fields, playgrounds for kids, and a new butterfly garden that is a fantastic addition! I just wish the town took better care of this park. The scenery is beautiful in its own way but there is too much dead wood from dead trees that have been there for years. A little beautification here and there can only make it better. Check out the little rose wall on your drive in to the back lot. When they are in bloom its so beautiful.

Decided to check out this park so I can do photo sessions for my clients. I loved the wood vibe. My friend and I were able to go in the trees and take pictures. I wasn't able to view the entire park. I've seen a lot of people use a cement staircase and a really nice fence, but I didn't see any of that in the spot I was in. Park is huge as well! Definitely going back!

Nice scenery. Go with friends and not alone because the trail is covered with lots of greens and it's near a river. The beachy volleyball courts were nice.

This park is so well maintained and beautiful. I need to visit more often. I feel like it's a hidden gem.

F- this place ! And it's surrounding neighbors came to enjoy a new place for Labor Day weekend with the family, I had a bad feeling when I seen this lady staring our family down. To our next surprise cops show up walk right up to us and another family that just showed up no BBQ allowed ! When they have nice tables and a whole field set up you would expect it to be an inviting place to spend time and hang out. Great park and all but of course not surprised by its surrounding neighbors if you know what I mean lol
