Went again after my grandson's water polo game. He loved it. I had the chicken teriyaki bento box and it was plenty of food. Good stuff. My wife had the tempura shrimp and vegetables. This is her go-to plate here and she really enjoyed it. Grandson had the crunchy California roll. He gave it a two thumbs up!The service is excellent, and the place is clean. You can't go wrong here.

We visit Masumi quite often these days. We most recently visited in January 2025 on a Wednesday night. It wasn't too busy and we were promptly seated at any table we wanted. We opted for a booth in the back. It was dimly lit and the group of people who were there seemed a bit noisy. We sat down and our drink order was taken almost immediately. We had a minute to look over the menu and ordered a short while later. We started with an order of Edamame. I ordered the Rainbow Roll and Tokyo Roll. Wife ordered the Dragon Roll and an order of Pork Fried Rice. The Edamame isn't steamed or anything so if you don't want it spicy or anything, prepare for chilled Edamame. I always prefer mine to be steamed or warm. The Rainbow Roll didn't taste as fresh as it normally does, so I didn't like this one as much this time. The Tokyo Roll was absolutely phenomenal. It comes with cream cheese that just takes it to the next level. Very good and I'll definitely be getting it again. Wife said the Dragon roll was excellent. The Pork Fried Rice was good. The service was great and selection is also top notch.

You can tell the owner of this food establishment works hard. At another table -- Refunding for an entire order because of a simple misunderstanding. And they kept apologizing to the customers. C'mon people... be more understanding towards small businesses. It's really hard to keep a business going nowadays. I ordered fried oyster and tempura udon soup and it was delightful! Definitely coming back soon!! Thank you again!

Overall pretty good. The rolls were gigantic. My son loved their California roll and he ate up the edamame. I could not finish my roll.I ordered to-go for pick-up as I was visiting from out of town for a soccer tournament nearby. I would say to call ahead and order as right when it opened a bunch of people came. A few also from the soccer tournament! Pretty great choice for food if you don't feel like eating greasy fast food.

I've been here several times with family and it's always been a great experience. The employees are really kind and provide great customer service. The restaurant is very clean and depending, on the day and time, can get really busy. But takeout is also very popular. They have a wide variety of selections, from sushi, to noodles, rice and plates. This is one of our favorite family restaurants that we can all agree on.

First time customer and the experience was ok. Upon arrival, the restaurant was 1/3 full of customers and it seemed quite tranquil. Soon after, a huge rush of customers arrived and the entire place was packed with customers. The food was mediocre and the service was not terrible. Waitresses did their best to fulfill orders as it was getting busier by the moment. The food quality wasn't something I would come back to again.

Let me preface by saying this review is based on a Bento box during lunchtime and not any sushi.Saw this Japanese restaurant and decided to stop in for lunch. Ordered the Bento box with Saba shioyaki , which came with miso soup, 4 pieces of California roll, rice and salad. Service was quick even though the place was busy. I was hoping to find a yummy Japanese place near home but the flavor just wasn't there. The California roll was on the larger side, but contained a lot of rice. The Miso soup wasn't salty which is a plus; however, it contained only the tiniest of bits of tofu and two dime sized pieces of seaweed, all I could taste, was the sliced green onion on top. My salad was way under dressed with hardly any dressing. Overheard the table next to me complaining that they didn't get any dressing and heard them ask the waitress for two sides of dressing. And finally my Saba shiit consisted of two small pieces of fish that were very fishy smelling. The Hubbs said that's what I get for ordering bait! From the photos on yelp, the sushi looks yummers, will have to give them another try.

Great Japanese spot! My boyfriend picked this place out to try for lunch on Saturday. Food here is so delicious and it reminded me of my fav Japanese spot in the Bay Area. Service here is friendly, attentive and quick. We both ordered the bento box. My boyfriend got the bento for dinner since he wanted two items. He ordered bento with beef teriyaki and tempura prawns & vegetables. I got the bento for lunch. I ordered the salmon teriyaki. Both bentos did not disappoint, they tasted really good. Overall, great food and service. Can't wait to come back again.

Love this place! We used to live close by and was the first place where I tried sushi. My fav is the Ripon Roll. The scallops, shrimp, sauce on these rolls is high addicting. Their bento boxes are so good as well. Love the chicken terriyaki and California roll. The salad dressing on the salad is also very good. Miso soup is a great start as well. We miss being regulars here but try to hit it every time we are in town.
