From my son: Would rate 6 if I could! Put "eat masa sushi" on your list of food to try! Their mixed veggie tempura is uniquely delicious! Their chicken lettuce wraps have the best flavors; I have a hard time explaining it. ALL of their food exceeds your expectations. And you can trust my picky opinion: I'm only 11!! Your taste buds will thank you! @GordonRamsey , You've got some great food to try here at Masa Sushi!!!

This place was absolutely incredible! Every single dish we tried was bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. The gyoza were cooked to perfection with a crispy exterior and a flavorful filling. The Spider Roll, Firecracker Roll, and Red Dragon were all beautifully presented and tasted phenomenal--each bite was a perfect balance of fresh ingredients and creative flavors. The hot sake complemented the meal perfectly, adding a warm and soothing touch to an already amazing dinner.Kehlani was an exceptional host and waitress, making the experience even better with her kind and attentive service. The ambiance was spot on--cozy, inviting, and perfect for an evening out. We were surprised it wasn't busier because everything about this place deserves way more attention. We came on a Wednesday around 5:30 PM when they were just opening, and we loved the idea of them being open late night--it's SO worth it! Plus, they're on DoorDash for when you can't dine in. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out! Highly recommend.

The service was outstanding. The food was dynamite. The ambience is quaint. They really went above and beyond to try and satisfy my pallet. I eat sushi quite a bit and I'm always comparing rolls to other places that I've been so I gave them a roll that I had tried and they did their best to Accommodate me. It wasn't quite like what I had before, It was a spicy lobster roll. It was kinda like they made a California roll but used lobster. It changed the taste of the lobster. I wasn't a fan of how it was made. But I ate it anyway. The owner Michael is phenomenal! The sushi chef is 23 years old ! He's awesome. His Presentation was on point. He nailed it. My waitress. I'm fumbling here. I forget her name. She was amazing! Very attentive. What a wonderful family to take over an existing business and try to make a go of it. Here are some of the items I tried. I'll be back for more. By the way ask for fresh wasabi. You'll thank me later. I had the eel...can we say Yum! Gyoza fried perfectly Lobster roll it was decent Last Samurai? It had soft shell crab, sashimi on top. It was FIRE!

Excellent experience as a solo traveller. My favorite part was the friendly staff and the sushi chefs singing the pop hits behind the sushi bar!! Amazing!!! The food was fresh and included fun signature roll choices. I went for the "Candy Kane" which was perfect because it had multiple types of fish, asparagus and avocado. Yum!I also had an order of unagi which was thick and juicy (not dry like I've experienced before in other restaurants) and included two large pieces.Hot green tea included free refills for only $2. That's a bargain!Despite being near an Inn & Out burger (which I don't have back home) I'm really glad I chose this spot.Casual with a nice, cozy vibe great for dates, friends or solos like me!

Came here to grab lunch with my girls. I haven't been here in years and since then, the restaurant has come under new management. It is owned and operated by a lovely family whom I've known since I was a teenager. It's nice to see businesses owned by Stockton natives. We ordered spicy edamame, the spicy hamachi, and 4 rolls. Out of the 4 rolls, my favorites were the caterpillar and the firecracker rolls.Collectively, everything tasted great and the service was awesome as well!Definitely a great restaurant to get your sushi fix in!

The unlimited sake is a great deal for the price and all the sushi was fresh. The service was excellent, and I enjoy the lounge wooden couch furniture. 10/10 for me! Lastly, the music was 2000's R&B for date night and family night out

I finally found a place in Stockton that has Japanese food the way I like it!!!! It's not too saucy or sweet!!! Oh my goodness, if you all only knew how hard it is for me to find a place like that especially when the owner is not Japanese. This place is run by a Filipino that was trained by Japanese chefs! So their rolls aren't dripping in sauce!!! (Had a chat with the owners after and really enjoyed that we had the same opinions of authentic Japanese flavor. Fish was fresh! I had the poke bowl. It was FULL of good quality fish and was balanced beautifully. Fish to rice proportion was so nice. Perfect amounts of each. Plating was beautiful! Left me enough room to enjoy half of a veggie croquette order. Friend had Shrimp tempura which was really Ebi-fry (deep fried shrimp in panko). Tempura batter is made with flour or rice flour. (EDITED: turns out they did a cool double whammy and dipped it in tempura batter and then rolled it in panko. Oh M Genius!) It was apparently delicious as it went down the hatch along with three orders of perfect nigiri. We had green tea ice cream for dessert. All perfect and we will be back!!!! The service was perfect. Water was brought in a pitcher so we didn't have to bug her too often. Finally, the bill came and it was so nice and affordable for us. Coming from the Bay Area, it was so nice to not have to eat pbj sandwiches for a week to make up for the cost of dinner. Thanks!!!!

I've been going to this spot since the new owners transitioned in. Always lovely service, great food, but what I really appreciate is the care they have for families with little ones. I went to eat dinner with my almost 2 year old the other day. I rarely go out to eat with him (just him and I) and we usually take food to go because he's a toddler and we have a small window of eating before his attention goes elsewhere. One of the owners gave the little guy coloring activities and even had training chopsticks ready for my son to use to eat sushi. It was because of their hospitality that I was able to finish my food! The owners are super family-oriented and if you are looking for a place that lets you be without feeling overwhelmed and stressed, this is the spot to be at!
