Mary Laveroni Community Park

Perfect pit stop on the way to Yosemite! One adult went to Mar-Val across the street for groceries, the other took the kids to the playground here to burn off some of that pent up car ride energy. Playground equipment is in good condition and there are picnic tables around it as well as lots of grass. Plenty of parking, a youth center, and a little museum, with old/replica mining equipment for some little educational moments for those inclined.

Cute little park in historic Groveland, CA, about an hour west of Yosemite NP. The park features a museum, a youth center, a playground structure, picnic tables, restrooms, and plenty of parking. Definitely a small town park-- old trees betray the park's age, and new safety floor under the playground equipment shows the recent upgrades. Driving through town, you can't miss the park. A recent flood from heavy rains shut down the lower field, but workers are already addressing it. Come here for a picnic or to rest a bit after bellying up at the nearby Saloon.

Beautiful park with a nice (newer) play structure. It would be nice if there weren't adults frequently laying around on the tables there... but - I guess that is just a testament to how relaxing it is ;- ) Love this little park and its perfect downtown location.
